Story
This is your wake-up call to resist the Hustle culture and embrace the slowness of Jesus. Our culture makes constant demands of us: Do more. Accomplish more. Buy more. Post more. Be more. In following these demands, we have indeed become more: More anxious. More tired. More hurt. More depressed. More frantic. What we are doing isn't working! In a society where hustle is the expectation, busyness is the norm and information is king, we have forgotten the fundamentals that make us human, anchor our lives, and provide meaning.

With the help of their marriage coach Dr. Christopher Edmonston, they break down their biggest (and in some cases, funniest) fights. How did a question about chicken wings turn into a bra fight (no, not a bar fight; a bra fight)? How did a roll of toilet paper lead to tears, resentment, and a stint in the guest bedroom?

There are four characters in every story: the victim, the villain, the hero, and the guide. These four characters live inside us. If we play the victim, we’re doomed to fail. If we play the villain, we will not create genuine bonds. But if we play the hero or guide, our lives will flourish. The hard part is being self-aware enough to know which character we are playing. In this book, Donald will use his own experiences to help you recognize if the character you are currently surfacing is helping you experience a life of meaning.

Story
There are four characters in every story: the victim, the villain, the hero, and the guide. These four characters live inside us. If we play the victim, we’re doomed to fail. If we play the villain, we will not create genuine bonds. But if we play the hero or guide, our lives will flourish. The hard part is being self-aware enough to know which character we are playing. In this book, Donald will use his own experiences to help you recognize if the character you are currently surfacing is helping you experience a life of meaning.

Do you ride the escalator or do you take the stairs? No matter how you define success, it always requires one thing: self-discipline. But as popular speaker and strategist Rory Vaden explains, we live in an "escalator world", one that's filled with shortcuts, quick fixes, and distractions that make it all too easy to slide into procrastination, compromise, and mediocrity. What seems like an easier path is really much harder in the end - and, most important, it won't take you where you want to go.

Love it!
Would you consider the audio edition of Hello Mornings to be better than the print version?
I am a busy mom but want to read more. I love that I can listen to audible books while multitasking (in the shower, driving, walking/exercising).
Have you listened to any of Kat Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Love that this is narrated by Kat Lee. I listen to her podcasts and find her easy to listen too.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Hello Mornings?
I've already started implementing the 3 minute morning. I love the advice to keep it simple and develop the habit instead of striving for perfection, failing and then giving up. This is the advice I give to my patients and clients regarding their wellness journey, but I have struggled to apply this to my devotional life/morning routine.

Useful and inspiring
This is an excellent book filled with practical advice and interesting anecdotes to encourage good habits, starting with three minutes in the morning, but spilling over to the rest of life. The author does a fabulous job reading in the audiobook. Her voice is warm and personable. Altogether the book reads like advice from a wise and interesting friend.

I thought it'd be cheesy, but this lady is cool.
Any additional comments?
I thought it'd be cheesy,.. very Christian'y, mom & wife focused.. but as a Catholic, single, no kids person, Kat's bk is perfect for anyone who wants to integrate an empowering morning routine.
And yea, even tho it comes off a bit, cheesy (uber-supermom/wife-Jesus-loving tone).. But, regardless of religion, who doesn't love some positive cheese!!!!???.. Kat definitely keeps it real.
FInally! A faith based smart female loving perspective on how to bring our relationship w/ God into our secular lives of goals & ambitions.. regarless of kids, mom, wife, etc.
I'd recommend this bk/audiobk to anyone!! We all need more God in the morning!!
Amen Sister! Thank u Kat.

Wonderful Story, Wonderful Writing, B+ production
I loved Kat Lee's writing and heartfelt reading of "Hello Mornings". Though she doesn't delve too much into her personal life, she gives lots of real-world advice to people everywhere seeking to create a morning routine dedicated to our creator. The book was practical, funny, and feels like it came straight from her heart.
The only part that I did not like, at no fault to Kat Lee, is the production quality. The studio that recorded this reading did not remove white noise from the background, which is made very apparent when listening to this audiobook at louder volumes. I listen when I drive, go for runs, and clean the house, and I could hear the background static no matter where I was.
Overall, this book is great for anyone seeking to create quality time with God by devoting their mornings to Him. I learned a lot, and will definitely re-read to continue building on my routine.

That is what listening to this story felt like; like sitting down with a friend and mentor and learning true wisdom. I am not a very religious person, but this book made me want to be
After listening to the first chapter of this book I realized this book would change my life. I love the way she incorporates stories from her life and others lives to relate to how God is in every part of our lives. She breaks down the morning routine in a way that it is manageable and able to be built upon.
