Publisher's summary

Branson Cudahy is as southern as it gets, a cyber-crime investigator from happily landlocked Lexington, Kentucky. He has been chasing a hacker for three years, and now the trail has led him to Lobster Cove, Maine... which is a real problem for a guy with a shellfish allergy.

Jenna Sanborn waits tables to pay the bills, but she dreams of opening a quilt shop in the heart of town. She'd never even think of leaving Lobster Cove, but the handsome newcomer is tempting beyond her wildest imaginings.

Bran and Jenna never expect the whirlwind romance that comes out of their meeting. As hard as they fight to control their feelings, their hearts are fighting to push them over that dizzying lover's leap. Will love win out, or will the hacker - and their dreams - slip the net?

Sexy, fun and Entertaining!

Where does Heavy Netting rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up with the other's I've listened to. Nicki is a great storyteller and draws vivid pictures with her settings and culture of the area. Her characters are very interesting and make you route for them from the beginning.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heavy Netting?

Of course in the end when Branson and Jenna get together:) I also loved how Branson called Jenna 'Tink"

What does Alexis Portner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Alexis does an excellent job of reading this book--she puts passion and expression into the character's dialogue. She also did a great job of delineating the genders.

Any additional comments?

Overall enjoyed this book and will highly recommend.

Great Couple, Fabulous Setting

Really likable characters and the hero's sexy yet vulnerable personality made the book a dream to read, and the description of Lobster Cove made me want to visit Maine. I loved the voice over actor's style, and want more from this author AND this narrator!

Good storyline

Really enjoyed this book. Story was good. I would have enjoyed it more if there had been both male and female narrators though. It's hard for me to fully enjoy when the female narrator is trying to play both parts. But she did an okay job and has a nice voice. I would've enjoyed it even more also if the story had been longer- I wanted to see it continued. Overall good book though . I

Another wonderful Lobster Cove Romance

Branson Cudahy is a cyber-crime investigator from Lexington, Kentucky. For three years he’s chased a hacker and now the trail leads to Lobster Cove, Maine.
Jenna Sanborn waits tables, but she dreams of opening a quilt shop in the heart of town.
A whirlwind romance is the last thing either Branson or Jenna expect. When Branson gets close to catching the hacker, all heck breaks loose. You’re going to have to pickup the audiobook to find out what happens.
This heartwarming story has well-rounded characters, vivid descriptions and a fast pace. All the things I love in a book. I also love the Lobster Cove series!
The narration of this Lobster Cove Novella brings Nicki Greenwood’s wonderful tale to life.
I highly recommend this book!

I probably shouldn't have agreed to read and review this book as it isn't my normal genre of choice. It would have been 20 years ago though, so I tried to cpnjur up my younger self for this review.
It ticks all the boxes for it's category. Short and to the point? Yes. Mystery having no thrill-value and a resolution Walt Disney would be proud of? Yes. Unrealistic, spontaneous romance beginning with terrible decisions, mixed with erotic and (again) unrealistic sexual activity, culminating in happily ever after? Yes. So, the success of the box-ticking gets 3 stars.
I wasn't wild about all the dessert references; made the main character appear juvenile.
I could only tolerate the narrator because (a) it is a short book [especially so when you up the speed] and (b) I am a professional narrator myself and therefore feel an automatic loyalty to all other voicers out there.
All in all, 3 Stars. Practically a glowing review considering my usual abhorance to this ilk of literature.
