Publisher's summary

Falling in love wasn't part of the plan in this lesbian romance from best-selling author Jae.

Susanne Wolff isn't thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle's stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway.

Anja Lamm, Paper Love's only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who's supposed to be her temporary boss.

But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne's aloof exterior, and Susanne discovers how sexy pens and notebooks can be - at least when Anja handles them.

As the end of Susanne's three-month stay approaches, will she stick to her plan to leave, or will she open her heart to more than just paper love?

Contains mature themes.

Lovely Story!

I loved the story! The two main characters had a ton of chemistry and were totally adorable together! The supporting characters were really cute as well.

The plot was so cute and sweet. I grew up in a time where fountain pens were a norm and a child I took them for granted. Reading this book, I’ve kind fallen in love with them again.

The description of Freiburg makes it sound like a charming, and lovely city.

Abby Craden as the narrator of any book is a win, and her narration of Paper Love was wonderful.

Overall, a sweet and lovely book! Well done!

Fun, cute, sweet

I avoided this one for a while. The premise just didn't sound interesting to me. I'm glad I finally bought it. This book is incredibly light hearted, pure enjoyment. It also made me laugh a good bit, which is not always Jae's forte. Abby Craden is her usual excellent self, reading for content and conveying the story to the reader with warmth and expertise. Definitely recommend as an addition to your lesfic collection.

Paper & Pleasure; Clever Combination

Abby Craden is an excellent narrator for these love romances; she has a sexy voice that just fits well. The book was slow in the beginning as content was being created, but once the ladies' character's personal lives were brought out and the twin sister arrived, things started kicking. Great book; nice plot if you can just make it through the first few chapters.

Sweet Jae story

Follows same Jae formula as all the others. Sweet romance with very sloooooow burn that culminates at the end with a steamy sex scene or 2 and a HAE. Unique & likable characters that make you chuckle numerous times.

Loved it

As always Jae didn’t disappoint in this romance I loved how it was centered around a stationery store. How original was that. The chemistry between Anja and Susanna was delicious I enjoyed the secondary characters and would love to see what became of Miriam and Franzi

How do you turn paper into gold?

This is an easy fun listen with a great narrator that features some spicy slow burn romance. There is also a side romance or two that would make a great sequel, along with these characters. My only concern with this book would likely be addressed in a sequel- where income is expanded to give the characters a greater chance for a lasting relationship, While the ending was beautifully written, there was a gnawing feeling that the relationship might be challenged with finances. That is often real life though, isn’t it? Perhaps there will be a “Paper Dragon” sequel that will quell my concerns. It seemed like these two characters have a choice- love and time together, or a highly successful career, but hopefully they can have both and turn paper into gold!
