Publisher's Summary

Falling in love wasn't part of the plan in this lesbian romance from best-selling author Jae.

Susanne Wolff isn't thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle's stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway.

Anja Lamm, Paper Love's only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who's supposed to be her temporary boss.

But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne's aloof exterior, and Susanne discovers how sexy pens and notebooks can be - at least when Anja handles them.

As the end of Susanne's three-month stay approaches, will she stick to her plan to leave, or will she open her heart to more than just paper love?

 Contains mature themes.

Holy Hell I Loved it!!!

As soon as I saw Abby Craden was the narrator, I preordered "Paper Love." She is definitely my favorite narrator so I was looking forward to this audio book and it did not disappoint. I loved everything about it. The characters were all great. I think I liked both main characters equally which is rare. One thing I wanted to make a note of which was awesome was the fact that a book finally mentioned one of the women having a PERIOD!! ha! It sounds silly, but I've always found it funny how no one ever mentions that. The story line is somewhat simple but I was hooked immediately with the dialogue and narration. I love that the people were somewhat normal meaning that nobody was ridiculously wealthy or famous. just loved it all!!!

Cute though the premise that German characters isn't credible

Would make more sense to have these very American characters living their story in America. The plot is fairly predictable and contrived but it's still a sweet story, especially the inclusion of the cat.

Fun, cute, sweet

I avoided this one for a while. The premise just didn't sound interesting to me. I'm glad I finally bought it. This book is incredibly light hearted, pure enjoyment. It also made me laugh a good bit, which is not always Jae's forte. Abby Craden is her usual excellent self, reading for content and conveying the story to the reader with warmth and expertise. Definitely recommend as an addition to your lesfic collection.

Great narrarator and story

I loved the way the author developed these characters. Reminded me of my relationship with my wife. Both are strong females who can and will take the lead when necessary.

Romance and fountain pens galore!

Suzanne is a digital-loving business consultant who has been sent from Berlin to Freiburg by her mother to find a way to save her uncle’s stationary store. Her uncle’s sole employee Anja is her polar opposite and a rocky beginning ensues. I gotta say this is among the sweetest contemporary romance’s I’ve ever read. It might even be at the top of the heap. Audiobook Note: The audiobook is narrated by Abby Craden and is as wonderful as one would expect from anything narrated by Abby Craden.

Sweet love story

Another must read by JAE. Escape to a charming German town, and learn how fascinating the pen and paper business is. Oh and there is also a pretty good love story! 5 stars!!

unusual theme

I have listened to some of jae's books previously and always enjoyed them. I struggled to remain interested and engaged with this one however. I found it hard to connect with the characters despite great narration.

Different but lovely

I really liked this story, it’s set in Germany in a stationery shop. The characters are great and the narration by Abby Craden is wonderful as always.

Good one.

Really good read by Jae and Abby Craden is one of the best narrators ever! So there's not much that could go wrong with this audiobook.
Characters are well developed and loveable and story has a good flow. The passion for stationary was an interesting choice of subject that Jae makes work. No real angst, which I personally love as it means more opportunity for lovey dovey-ness moments between the two mains.

A Really Sweet Story

I have listened to this twice and love the story set in a little German town. I think I would struggle with the narration if it were not for Abbey Craden. It is supposed to be two German girls and the American accent, well. None the less loved the story very sweet.
