Publisher's Summary

Waiting for the right guy. Ella Couture didn't mean to save herself. But success runs in the family, and Ella, a fiery and self-made interior decorator, never wanted to settle for anything less than a quality man. But another disappointing breakup has Ella flirting with the idea of a meaningless fling - because this whole v-card business has gone on for way too long.

When Ella visits her brother, Lance, for the weekend, she finds herself all alone with his teammate Radar. The rugged hockey star is tall, chiseled, and gorgeous - and based on his past, he won't get attached. It's a nice fantasy...but Ella isn't the type of girl to sleep with her brother's best friend. That's what she keeps telling herself, anyway....

Live by the code, die by the code. On the ice, tough guy "Radar" enforces the code of the game with his fists. He won't let anyone mess with the team's superstar center, Lance Couture.

Radar might sleep around, but he knows to keep his distance when Lance's sister visits the two roommates at their Boston condo. The code has a rule about family members, after all: They're strictly off-limits. Not that Radar's worried about breaking that rule - he's already heard an earful about how insane his best bud's younger sis is.

But Lance never said anything about Ella being a cute babe with an adorable laugh. And he definitely never said anything about how she's finally ready to lose her v-card....

But if Radar can't keep his hands off Ella, not only will he stab his best friend in the back - he'll ruin everything for which he's worked. So why can't he get that girl out of his mind?

Contains mature themes.

Delightfully entertaining!!

I love Carly Robins aka CJ Bloom.
And Aaron Shedlock always makes my heart go thump..thump...I love listening to him!
Cute and sweet story.
Another hockey story that was funny and well narrated. Carly makes me laugh every time I listen to her books.
Not an original story, dating your best friends sister, which goes against the bro code, but this one did have some great laughs and a few sexy and naughty scenes narrated by Aaron. Yummy..Yummy 😁

unrealistic

Overall the story is mediocre. No one really falls in love that quickly. I think this just gives people unrealistic expectations and gets everyone's hope up lol

Forbidden Puck

First should I be offended? They keep saying being traded to Winnipeg would be a bad thing. Can’t handle the COLD…Bahahaha.

I am not a fan of insta-love, but I liked the way this book went about it. Ella and Ryan got to know each other even with the chemistry but it was because of her brother his best friend that they kept getting thrown together.

Lance, Ella’s brother was kinda a douche; just because he is the star player doesn’t mean he should get to throw his weight around. I didn’t like his temper tantrum.

Narration was great, I am a fan of Aaron and Carly they did a great job with this book.

Forbidden Puck

I enjoyed an insta-love romance but this one was way too fast, plus Lance’s behavior about his sister was over the top. That being said, this was an adorable and charming story.
Narration was great!

Ok

I enjoyed this, but I think the falling in live in 2 days made the story lack some depth. Also - the brother’s RIDICULOUS attitude about friend dating his sister was ABSURD. Made me angry to hear it and that she just kinda of accepted that he was gonna get him FIRED from the team for having the nerve to sleep with his sister. Was cringy.

Adolescent fantasy romance

This might appeal to a 14-year-old, but most adolescent girls are more mature than the bratty heroine and her brother. I kept waiting for some character growth or self awareness, but no...

Loved it

Easy listen and it was good a few hours of an escape. You don’t have to be a hokey lover to like this story. The narrators were beautifully done. I highly recommend!

DNF

This is not Pucked. It’s like it’s trying to be but misses the mark. Lack a humour in particular. Also the female narrator doesn’t put the emphasis on the right words or something, like she doesn’t read the punctuation correctly. Have returned at 60%
