Danger, destiny, and romance on the river. A wilderness kayak adventure brings together two very different women - Chaz Herrick, a laid-back outdoorswoman, and Megan Maxwell, a workaholic news executive. Good enough for a second reading

This is my second time reading Whitewater Rendezvous, a few months after reading it the first time. I love how Kim Baldwin's descriptions of Alaska make you feel like you're actually there. The book is good from start to finish, and of course the love story is phenomenal!

Disappointment all around

Not a single dialog that made me feel this book was worth reading. I felt like each sentence was taken from another story. Nothing unique or above average. When a writer uses the phrase "her full lips" more than once ,it can't be good.

Brilliant romance with a sprinkle of wilderness adventure

What a lovely romance. Baldwin wrote a splendid story and it was perfectly narrated.

I would absolute recommend it

Sound quality is too bad.

Sound quality is too bad. I have a headache when I hear the strong way of speaking of the narrator. Though it is a good novel, I am disappointed.

A book that holds your attention!

Would you consider the audio edition of Whitewater Rendezvous to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version of this book. The story was well written so I would be more than happy to read it.

What other book might you compare Whitewater Rendezvous to, and why?

I would say that the book most reminded me of something Gerri Hill wrote called Angel Fire. Its not about the same things but the way it was written and they way it made me imagine the wilderness.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I liked the scene with the hot springs and Megan hiding away thinking she has just found out the truth when really what you see can always be misinterpreted. It was a good way to add more edge to the characters relationship.

Any additional comments?

Very good book to listen to, only criticism is that I would of liked the story to last a little longer. The chapters are very long so it tricks you in to thinking you have a lot longer left in the story than what you actually do. But it was a very good book and I will definitely be listening to it a second time around.
