Don’t you love it when you’ve got a smile plastered on your face in the midst of the chapter? For instance, when a character says the word “stampede”, and you find yourself in the middle of the rugged range right there on horseback along side the main characters with the dust kicked up from nervous hooves hanging in the air, and you’re sitting in the saddle clueless as what to do other than think, “What the heck? Which way should I go?”… well, yeah, I got that huge smile on my face at that exact moment. And this isn’t a western, by the way, I don’t want to mislead you. Instead, think US Marshall Service… Witness Protection Program. This is a rugged, contemporary novel with action, suspense, and a great romance. If you like a trek in the woods, eluding the bad guys, and a gun fight or two… oh, and did I mention hot women? If any of that piques your interest, you’ve just found your next book. The author, Nance Sparks, delivers and does not disappoint with this mystery.

Our main characters, Elina and Alex, are realistic, flawed, and relatable. And, they’re perfect for each other. They’re both strong and capable women in power roles. They each hold secrets they don’t want to reveal, but as the story unfolds, they discover the benefits of trusting one another… in a variety of ways. Mmm-hmm. Good stuff. Yes, indeed.

I LOVE a book that keeps me on the edge of my seat. This Goldie Award Nominee did just that. I recommend it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I look forward to reading more from this author. Good book

I read this one in a day. Loved the suspense and characters. This is my first book by this author. It definitely won't be the last. Narrator was good as well.

Excellent!

Excellent story! The plot development worked the story very well! It was suspenseful, and fast moving. I liked the integration of Native American culture. It was beautiful. I loved the two main characters and the grandmother was one though cookie! The narration was very well done.

BEST STORY LINE EVER

I'm a hetero female, however I ABSOLUTELY LOVED "SECRET SANCTUARY"!
The story line and plot twist were fabulously unexpected and refreshing. Definitely worth a read. I want to see a movie made from this book! I am very excited to read more by this author.
