Publisher's Summary

Three best friends met every Tuesday for 26 years. And then they stopped.

From the author of the best-selling Sweeney Sisters series comes a novel of friendship, family, and hope.

When new next-door neighbors Georgia, Midge, and Lula first assembled on Georgia's porch in Charleston for sweet tea, they couldn't have known their gathering was the beginning of a treasured tradition. For 26 years they have met on Tuesdays at four o'clock, watching the seasons change and their children grow up, supporting each other in good times and in bad. With their ambitions as different as their personalities, these best friends anticipate many more years of tea time. And then, one Tuesday, Georgia shares news that brings their long-standing social hour to an abrupt halt. And that's only the beginning as unraveling secrets threaten to alter their friendship forever.

    "Family mending"

This book was a learning experience in family and friend dynamics. The writing was very good and so was the narration.

Pulled on the Heart Strings... Told well and can connect with all characters as the story jumps from perspectives.

    "Did Not Like It"

I took a chance on this one. I had . never heard of the author..the synopsis sounded interesting but the characters were
rather shallow....I did not like the gay angle which came into the story after @3 hours. I Did not finish it. I Would not get another book by this author. I wish there was a way to assess content before wasting 3 hours on an audio book. There are too many GOOD books in my
list to waste time on stories I do not appreciate.

    "Realistic story"

I enjoyed this story about friends and family. I thought it was well written and the performance brought the characters alive. I will look for more books by this author.

    Story
    "Unforgiving characters"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. The characters in this book are so unforgiving and unlikable. Apparently, when you are 50, based on this book, you are too old to know how to operate a computer, go see her child in another state, too biased to understand unconditional love, and friendships can be blown away like leaves in the fall.

What could Ashley Farley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

As someone who has long-term friends, I have to wonder if Ashley ever has. The relationships with my closest friends has survived much worse situations that these people easily tossed away. In addition, I can't think of anyone who would be as cruel and braisen as the character she developed. Hateful to her own children and her friends even before she realizes she has a terminal illness. I've seen people get hateful when dealt a bad hand, but not nearly to this level. I had absolutely no sympathy for the character by the time she was diagnosed. Couldn't relate to the other characters either.

What about Linda Henning’s performance did you like?

It was smooth, easy to distinguish between characters.

Did Sweet Tea Tuesdays inspire you to do anything?

Yep. Stop wasting my time listening to the book.

    Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a story of strong women, strong friendships, and inspiration, this isn't the book for you.
