Far too long

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Cut an enormous amount of the domestic child-rearing parts and the descriptions of yoga and food and I would also have preferred not to listen to the extracts from psychology books that prefaced each chapter. Descriptions of the physique of Detective Tommy became tedious too

Would you be willing to try another book from Lila Shaara? Why or why not?

No. The main character was far too self-absorbed and the number of female characters with small parts were not interesting enough to make me remember their names

What aspect of Julia Gibson’s performance might you have changed?

Her voice has a whiney tone which becomes tiring after a while

Did Every Secret Thing inspire you to do anything?

Not to read any more by this author - Jodi Picoult has no reason to worry about competition from this writer - not in her class

Any additional comments?

The characters of the students who were threatening to expose the main character were not fleshed-out enough; the main character never really seemed to be under threat
