pretty bad

This book was pretty disappointing, the autophagy part was too much science and the rest was basic stuff you see all over you tube , nothing new and warnings that were pretty lame. The narrator was really bad, often he would stop and repeat the sentence he just read, and often he sounded like he was having trouble reading , just saying one word after the other without the correct inflections. I also really did not like the actors CONSTANT request for a good review , he actually stopped in the middle of the book to ask for a good review - along with before and after each book - seriously do not waist a point or a dollar on this one.

Losing weight with the pros

I compete in combat sports regularly and while i do keep a strict diet, before competitions i need to lose more weight. This book gave me some tips to get that done.

Misses the Mark

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a subject that has a lot of interest for me. I have been doing the keto diet for over a year for health and weighloss reasons. I found the information in this book to be at a very beginner level and at times superficial. There is a really long section of testimonials. The testimonials talked about other books, other people and other websites they had used to be successful in adopting this lifestyle. I was not sure why this was included in this book at all or how it related to this book. If you are just interested in this way of life/eating and are seeking some initial information, this may be a place to start but there are better and more informative books on Keto, Fasting, and Autophagy.

Several times throughout the book, entire sentences or phrases were repeated, likely missed in quality control to be edited out. There are frequent requests throughout the book to leave a review.

I wanted to like it.

This is a subject of particular interest to me. The first part seemed like a student research paper. Then there was a litany of testimonials. I listened to them for a long time. I was dreading trying to finish it. So I didn't. The narration was borderline tolerable.

A good start for a beginner...

Logan Wolf has compiled a series of essays on fasting in an easy to digest book. A book which could have been a lot shorter, but overall it is a good starting point for a complete beginner.

If you know the basics of OMAD, I suggest passing on this book. There is nothing new here. I mean, it is one simple concept - you eat one meal a day and you lose weight (among other benefits).

If you are brand new to the one meal a day fasting lifestyle, then you will learn a lot from this book. I highly reccomend this way of eating. It works, and most importantly it's easy to sustain.

My advice to Logan Wolf : Fasting Mastery is a compilation of two books, two books which could have been one (much shorter) book. Sometimes it felt like the chapters did not fit in, and I get it, repetition helps to engrain ideas but there was a little bit too much of that going on here.

Almost as if this whole book was a compilation of articles rather than a book written from scratch.

The whole chapter on Keto could have used more work. It contradicts the OMAD lifestyle because you suggest having your one meal in a one hour window - yet in the keto chapter you sound as if you had the whole day to eat.

Do yourself a favor and do not write too many short books at once. It tarnishes your image, and makes you look like you are out to make a quick buck.

Eye opener for sure!

It took me 2 trys to finish this book. In the beginning, I was a bit overwhelmed by the science of it all. After realizing that the explanation and understanding was just as important as the "how to", I was able to finish. this book is very empowering especially with hearing the "success" stories! it was amazing to know many people shared the same thoughts as I, and yet have experienced much success. this is definitely a great read!

the OMAD book is 5 stars, Autophagy was terrible

The narrators could be quite a bit more interesting they sounded like 6th graders most of the time. The OMAD book was great and I suggest that as a great listen. The Autophagy book was mostly science then personal stories- it seemed like it wasn't well thought out or well organized, not recommended.
