Publisher's summary

Owen Deathstalker defends his honor in this thriller in New York Times best-selling author Simon R. Green's epic science fiction series.

Owen Deathstalker became a hero after the great rebellion against the tyranny of Lionstone XIV. But he and his compatriots have no chance to enjoy their victory before they are launched into conflict again - this time among factions quarreling over who will replace the deposed Empress.

Owen and Hazel d'Ark attempt to escape the ensuing chaos only to discover that Humanity has problems more pressing than political squabbles as they encounter an even greater threat - an encroaching invasion fleet of alien origin....

I only want to provide ratings for each category

Why are you making me write text now? What happened to the simple star system for the three areas; Story, performance and overall? Now, it looks like we can either do only 'overall' from the library list ... or we have to write a full review. I feel somewhat bullied into writing a review .. or are you taking the NetFlix path and not let us share our simple, star opinions? You trained us; please don't change the rules. Maybe this is a website bug? I tried to find a way in the "Help" system to log a support issue ... but don't see anyway to do that. So, I'm forced to share via my review; which you forced. ;-)

Slapstick and Banal.

The first three books are outstanding. The characters are interesting, the dialogue is poignant, they follow a clever and action packed plot, and they’re well written.
Honor, however, is the opposite. The characters become clichéd versions of themselves, the dialogue is repetitive and hackneyed, the plot is banal and rather ridiculous.
Jackson’s superb narration is the only constant in the series.
