I am bad at reviews.
All I can say is that I enjoyed the story and the narrator did a great job with the voices.

Super nova

Stella partner David Tyler is in serious trouble because of her past actions his life and everyone lives in London is in danger. The magical beings want David read but Stella believes she can save him but can she?
I love the introduction of new characters who bring more sarcastic wit and charm. I love the strong plot. I received this audio book for free upon my request and I am leaving a totally honest review voluntarily.

A Satisfying Addition to the Uncanny Kingdom

Ever since David used magic to save Stella in the nightmare realm, the dark magic inside of him has turned him into a living bomb. At any time his magic could take over him, explode, and kill everyone. Some think that Stella is too involved to fix the problem and would rather kill David before he explodes. To make matters worse, there is a rogue Succubus who is going on a killing spree. Against all odds, will she be able to save David? Can she stop the Succubus? Narrator, Heather Tracy’s characterizations are distinct and true to the other two books in the series. Her character voices are easy to tell apart and her emotional tones are in sync with what is going on in the book. Her narrative style and pacing quickly pulls the listener into the story. The plot is well-developed and full of plot twists. The ending is satisfying, but still throws in a few surprises listeners won't expect. Fans of dark fantasy, magic, mythical creatures, and thrillers will enjoy listening to this book. You will, however, need to listen to the first two in the series before picking this one up.

Another Good Story, but left with Cliffhanger

I enjoy all the books with Stella Familiar and this time we get to met Eva Familiar, who is a drunk layabout, who also lost her Coven. I do not really like when a good author leaves the end of the book with a Cliffhanger. When a author is good enough their readers will follow without doing this!! Narrator did a nice job with the storyline.

Familiars Band Together

This was a great conclusion to the London Coven series! After Stella messes with the dark arts, David begins to change into something evil that’s capable of destroying their city. London’s Uncanny want to stop him before it gets too far, but she’ll protect him at any cost. To add to the chaos, desicated corpses are piling up and a succubus seems to be the culprit. Can Stella save David, her city, and find the rouge succubus? Matthew has created these realistic, loveable characters with their humor, imperfections, and strength. I absolutely loved Eva’s sarcastic personality and the hilarity/ pain in the ass behavior of Jake and Jack- I feel that they really added to the story. Stella has definitely gained more of a human side throughout the series and it really pushes through in this book with her concern for David and the possibility of losing her only friend.
Heather did another great job with this narration! The different voices she used for each character are distinctive and I love how she kept me engaged throughout the entire story.

Consequences for the innocent

Black magic always has consequences, and not just to the guilty, but to the innocent. Poor David Tyler is alive when he would have died, but now he’s a ticking time bomb. Again, I love the action and the characters’ snappy patter, and I LOVE the narrator. A great monster-hunting story with just the right amount of snark.
