Publisher's summary

Gold coins from a centuries-old sunken treasure ship have been found on the beach in Cawsand. This would be no cause for Tempest Michaels to take notice, but a man murdered by the ghost of a dead pirate come to claim back the gold? That ticks all his boxes.

Tempest, oblivious to the events in Cawsand and believing he was overdue a week off, has traveled to Cornwall with his dogs for some relaxation and perhaps a cream tea or two. Well, fat chance of that, because he is hip-deep in murderous ghosts before he finishes his second pint.

Uncovering a disturbing undercurrent in the sleepy seaside village, a race against time begins for him to crack the case before anyone else gets hurt. Together with the local police officer, the diminutive, sexy, and very domineering Bobbi the Bobby, plus some other helping hands he could probably do without, he will do all he can to reveal the truth.

The locals believe the ghosts are real, though, and the village is filling up with treasure hunters after the gold and ghost hunters seeking infamy. Are there people trying to sabotage his efforts? Is he in danger? Just what is the truth behind the mystery, and was there ever a treasure to find?

He has the odds stacked against him like never before, he has no idea who he can trust, and the dachshunds want their dinner. And, oh yeah, it’s Halloween.

Enjoyed; need to find rest of the series

This story was...not sure how to say it. It was quiet, comforting, as if we know the main character and are just catching up with him over a hot cocoa or cup of tea. It moved along steadily, all the drama/no drama, story advancement/scene setting and character descriptions, etc. just on an keel that was not completely even, but didn't have to high crests. I'm not saying it right. It just felt... calm and comfortable. The mystery was interesting and kept me wanting to tune back in.

A fun thing: I really like the chapter headings. So few authors use those anymore and I have missed that.

Narrator was steady, reliable, worked perfectly for me. There were a couple spots where there were a lot of weird pauses within a few sentences in a row, but they were short.

I was given a free copy by the author. Thanks!

Entertaining!

Great escapist story. Tempest can't even get away on a vacation without trouble finding him. I enjoyed the reader in the earlier books, but you will get used to his cadences quickly.

Mum and Dad..funny

Good story...Tempest is on a mini vacation away from everyone...even his pals.... enjoying the seaside until his parents show up. There's murder, mystery, pirates and fun. Narrator is great and story is very enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

Great mystery

This is my second Blue Moon Investigation book I have listened to and I must say it was just as suspenseful and interesting. I enjoyed the twist and turns that kept me guessing who and how was creating this mystery. I will be gladly recommending this series to my friends and family.
