Kill me, will ya?

The story kept me from my household shores. Not sure if being in a pandemic is a blessing or not. I have two days to finish the series, before I go back to work. I really need sleep. And feed my family cooked food rather than snacks so they would leave me alone. The Audible narration goes beyond. Another excellent performance. But holding the kindle and reading at the same time doesn't make it go faster.

The book could use a sequel. Clearly the author did extensive research on the ways of life during this period in time. I wondered what happened to Jane's cousin. Yeah, do a sequel and name it 3.5 like other authors. Enjoyed more than the last one; which was also five stars rating.

Being a parent doesn't necessarily mean they would love and accept their children. Some education comes from life lessons. Revenge can be sweet. But it can also consume you. When someone truly loves you, they don't see imperfections. It's not about acceptance; rather, it's about making the other person smile.

Dark

Not one of my favorites. I feel like it took half the book to get to the point of the story and then rushed through the conclusion. I feel like was Beauty & The Beast meets Outlander.

Dark and Romantic

Perfection !! I absolutely love Eve Silver and her dark romance stories. I have read almost all the audible romances of her. This series is a must! Happy reading

Where is truth?

There is so much confusion in this girls life. As she struggles to understand what happened before, she is thrown into a mystery and romance. I really enjoyed this book!

Good First Impression

This was a new experience in both author and narrator and I enjoyed it. It took a few chapters for the story to start taking shape, and was presented well. The writing was much better than your average romance, so I’m looking forward to the next book by this author. The narrator did a fine job and I’d compare her with some of my favorite female narrators out there. It takes someone with true talent to perform both male and female characters. Especially in a romantic storyline where both characters must be performed at the highest level in order to truly be immersed and enjoy the story. This narrator and author are a nice combination - which has become more difficult to find lately (as someone who listens and/or reads to 4-7 books a week). Worth your time and credit.

New author and narrator for me. I liked this alright, underdog h sold to mysterious H with a past of secrets.

Beautiful

A very descriptive , dark romance. Aiden the handsome, well formed main male character. So full of revenge, pain, bad memories. Yet a man of morals and truth. Jane injured when attacked many years ago, now with a leg deformed and her mother dead. She’s determined, smart and brave.

They both know pain, have seen too much, lived through horrors. She now is indentured to him for 7 years, through no fault of her own. What will become of them?

This was a wonderful, if not beautiful story. It’s definitely worth the read, or listen like I chose.

Not that great

Not my cup of tea. I just couldn’t get into this book. I tried so hard to like it and even came back a few time to try again. But I ended up not ever finishing it.
