Publisher's Summary

Some spirits never rest in peace....

Paul Mahan escaped the terrifying evil that dwelled in the Rookwood Apartments. But others have not been so lucky. Young Ella Cotter, an innocent child, finds herself tormented by a ghost Paul unwittingly freed when he escaped the building's haunted grounds.

As Paul attempts to use hypnosis to separate the child from the tortured entity that clings to her soul, blood runs in the streets. A series of mysterious killings rocks the nearby city of Tynecastle. And Paul is convinced the violent incidents are linked to Dr. Palmer, a sadistic wraith, who once turned Rookwood into an asylum of horrors.

Working with the local police and a rare book dealer with an interest in the occult, Paul and his allies soon find themselves face-to-face with an enemy unlike anything they have ever imagined. This terrifying evil force grows more powerful with each victim it kills.

And the only way to stop it may cost Paul his mortal soul...

amazing

From the narration to the story you can't go wrong with this book. It keeps you captivated the whole time. Twists and turns things that I didn't see coming. I loved it. Don't listen to this at night when you want to sleep because it will keep you wide awake.

Good Series

I enjoyed this series but recommend you listen/read 1st 2 books in order, loved the characters of Paul Mahan, Mike Bryson and Nate Farson. Felt sorry about Blume and Liz, Beynon was quite interesting add in. Enjoyed most of the descriptive horrific scenes and Palmers egotism. I cannot image what Neve and daughter Ella future psyche will go thru after all they experienced as well as the main characters. Recommend if you enjoy occult supernatural with good narration.

Another great book by David longhorn

There is so much going on this book from the beginning until the very end it is packed with chaos. Dr. Palmer still haunts Brook Wood Apartments, but unfortunately to freedom so Paul unwittingly unleash a demented murderous ghost town castle and unfortunately it attaches itself to little Ella who Paul tries to help, but she also gets from day in a man with his own superpowers and his ability to protect Ella and her mother Maeve from many things in the long run is what saves them. There is rioting in the streets bombs and just plain chaos in town castle who’s going to stop it? This book was so good as I said it is totally action packed from the beginning in the prologue until the end in the apologue I love David longhorn books in this book in the Westbrook series is a great example why.
