Shane’s craziest adventure yet!

Wow, this one had me concerned for Shane and Jacentia’s safety. So much anger and madness hiding in plain sight. One of my favorites to date!

Another great series from Scare Street and their amazing authors. Perfect narration as well. Loving these stories!

Creepy with gore

This book was creepy and disturbing, but definitely brought on chills! Descriptions of gore might be something that may not be for everyone, but horror fans are rarely bothered by that.

Love being back in Shane Ryan's world! As always a thrilling story with great characters! Great narrator that pulls you right into the story.

Shane Ryan Cosplaying Jack Reacher?

The book Hell’s Highway by Ian Fortey and Ron Ripley read much differently than in other titles. Mainly because the main character Shane Ryan, starts off this adventure doing his own investigation while the Detroit PD and the Canadian Border Patrol reluctantly join forces to solve some murders along a highway that connects the U.S. and Canada. The mood of this book, while it has its usual paranormal elements to it, has a different flavor-where Shane Ryan is called into a murder investigation because there are elements of paranormal activities. As the person who calls him in is none other the Shane’s love interest Detroit Detective Perez, there’s more at stake here than dealing with your run of the mill serial killer, your dealing with time, time itself-before the next one is one the list. The next one could be someone you know. Someone you love. Who’s to know when the Canadian law enforcement don’t keep “good” records to link deaths along this highway and attribute the deaths to a lone killer.

As always, Thom Bower narrates wonderfully.

I really enjoyed the story. It did remind me of some Jack Reacher elements, not specifically but in some style. I really dig the early Jack Reacher novels and the vibe from this books was felt in this story. One man dynamo that no one understands always manages to inadvertently get in trouble, then he does his own thing, others do t like him and are suspicious of him… that kind of vibe. I feel like this book could of had some bonus chapters relating to the house that Shane goes to (trying not to give anything away). There is a story waiting to be told from there, the cliff, and how it all started. Maybe Fortey and Ripley will give us a prequel, as the how all of the events culminating to Hell’s Highway is quite interesting as well.

Audible doesn’t allow for fractional star ratings, I really enjoyed Hell’s Highway. I would give the story 3.5 stars (definitely could be developed more), performance 5 stars, overall 4.5.

Highway Murders

I love any books with Shane with his interactions with ghosts! I'm enjoying the character of Jacinta and hope they end up together. She ended up calling Shane for his help in Canada to solve a case of murders on the highway and there is a lot of action especially for Shane. Cannot wait for next one

Wow! Love the first book of this series

My heart was in my throat much if this book. The “who the heck is the bad guy” kept going through my mind. Be ready for the ride of your life. Great book

I Love SHANE Ryan!

I’ve listened to almost all of Ron Ripleys work and this book is worth waiting for! Teaming up with Ian Fortey gives the book more of a feeling that he is in 2023. Great! Can’t wait for book 2!

My man Shane

I was lucky enough to get ran advanced copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review and I'm willingly doing so now. lets start off with the narration Thom did a fantastic job as always. I loved this one but then again I am a fan of both of these awesome guys. they never let me down and this is no different. definitely will keep you wide awake and looking at the shadows. great bunch of people. and of course Shane's once again being himself great job.
