Publisher's Summary

The dead speak, and one man hears their harrowing cries....

Dan Tate survived a heartbreaking tragedy and is plagued by nightmares of his terrifying ordeal. Withdrawing into an emotionless shell, he has driven away everyone who cared about him. Dan is lost and utterly alone. Until he hears the voices....

In Coffin Cemetery, the anguished spirits cry out, seeking a way to move on. But Dan isn’t the only one who speaks with the dead. Janet Ladd, a greedy and corrupt medium, also hears their call. She intends to use these tormented souls to fulfill her own petty desires.

As the body count increases, panic and chaos ensue, and the police find themselves at a loss to explain the mangled corpses on the streets.

Dan and his ghostly allies are the only thing standing between Janet and the innocent citizens of Anger. He’s just one man...scared, broken, and traumatized by pain most can only imagine. But he’ll put his life on the line to defend his loved ones.

Even if it costs him his mortal soul....

I love love love these books!

I read these books as standalones, but when, not if, I read them again, I would like to read them all as a box set. Less changing of the book, which means no interruptions. I hate interruptions. Thank you for putting these in a box set. I very much appreciate it!

Lots of redundancy

If you're going to describe every encounter a random victim has with a ghost you're going to need to come up with new ways to do it. "why is it cold? Who are you? Omg a ghost! *gets killed*" gets old after a dozen times.

Dan is too stupid. He gets knocked out every fight because he doesn't have his ghost weapons ready BEFORE he goes into the haunted houses. It happens *at least* four times. Why would he store his iron in a backpack and wait to search for it after the ghosts appear? And after the fourth time they appear behind him, say something like "surprise!" and hit him you'd think he'd learn to duck.

Great series so far

Great story so far. If you like Shane Ryan He makes an appearance. But they don't really talk about him very much. Hoping that the next few books he will pair of more in. He is one of my favorite characters.

Cemetery Ghosts

Dan Tate who cares for the cemetery and schoolhouse and the ghosts he interacts with trying to help them after experiencing a horrendous situation. He has had in person interactions with his kids which seem to be going well as well as seeing Diane. I cannot wait to see what Shane plans for when he comes to Anger to help with the evil ghosts. I love Dan, Eli, Evan, Ell and Shane hate Janet and Eliza, upset about Andrea. Highly recommend if you like interacting ghosts with good narration! keep them coming

Meh

It was a struggle to get through book 1. I have no intention of listening to 2 or 3. I got this super cheap during a sale so I'm not too broken up.

Everything from plot to characters to narration is mediocre. However, it is refreshing that someone is writing unapologetic horror without getting too overly clever or meta about it.

Where's Shane?

The story is a little different than the other series that RR has written. the only thing I didn't like was the introduction of Shane Ryan, and he was not apart of the story line. my favorite stories are with the character Shane Ryan.

Just bad.

Everything about this is atrocious. The writing is child like, and the narration is appalling. I just can’t finish it.
