All educators should be striving to creating a culture and climate conducive to fostering SEL. So, how can this resource help? It defines SEL and digs into the real work of how to incorporate SEL in K-12 schools. It makes the connection between research and practical application. It supports all educators from various instructional settings. It addresses students' different interests and varied learning styles. And finally, it helps teachers recognize alternative opportunities for engaging students in activities that support SEL.

This resource also helps educators effectively implement SEL programming through:

  1. Real-life examples and testimonials of SEL in the classroom.

Good refresher

If you’ve already read or been exposed to SEL, and it’s importance, this is a refresher . If SEL is new to you, it’s great for connecting what we do in the classroom to how it impacts students during and after their school years.

Should be Required Reading for School Leaders

I am so glad I listened to this beautifully laid out book. What an articulate way to explain SEL. I love all the real life stories and examples that were used as well. This is a great book and should be required reading for all educators and school leaders.
