Publisher's Summary

WARNING, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK from Matt Connover, Litigation God: Please do not attempt to read my story in public, as my sexual proclivities have been known to cause squirming in your seat, squeezing of your legs together and unintentional moaning, sometimes with spontaneous bursts of laughter at random moments. If you are offended by the fact that my oral skills are just as accomplished in the bedroom as they are the courtroom, then this book is not for you. There may be moments while reading my story that you get so turned on, so hot and bothered, that your squirming and moaning could turn maniacal in nature and neither I, nor the author, are responsible for the weird looks you may get. Notwithstanding the aforementioned warnings, if you assume the risk and read my tale in public, then I recommend you carry a spare set of panties with you. You will need them and you have been warned. My name is Matt Connover. I am a Litigation God. Other lawyers quake before me. Women crawl on their knees just to spend the night in my bed and when I'm finished with them, I walk away without a backward glance. I am well satisfied with my life and there isn't a damn thing I'd change about it. That is, until McKayla Dawson came along. She was meant to be for one night only but she got under my skin, and now I want her back underneath my body. It's torture working with her in my law firm, day in and day out. But I have to think maybe the Fates have intervened to throw us together because she is unlike anyone I've ever known, and thus I need to pay careful attention to these Legal Affairs.

Surprised me

This book really took me by surprise. Matt and Mac's story was kind of exhausting at times. All in all Matt's unresolved issues with his ex wife makes you want to throttle him. Mac is strong enough to handle him however we all have our breaking point. They do eventually find their HEA...

An emotional yet hilarious audio

I absolutely loved this audio. The dialogue was hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud quite often. It was intelligent yet deep with emotion. Sexy as sin at times, a lot of times. I really enjoyed the narrators voice. He was new to me but gave off the perfect cockiness to nail the character. The only negative was that it dragged a little at times. A little repetitive. Definitely worth the credit and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes humor with their romance.

Holy Hotness!

I read the Legal Affairs series and was really wanting to read Matt's pov. I had no idea how much more I would get. Not only do we get to see a whole new side of Matt, but seeing Mac in this new light made me see the whole story differently. You do not need to read either one to enjoy the other, so don't worry about that. Both stand alone nicely. The narrator did a great job when her went back and forth between Mac and Matt. I will probably listen to more books he has read. Great story with great narrator.

Hot lawyer alert!!!

I love the Legal Affairs series and couldn't wait to listen to Matt's POV. The story is super hot and it was great to hear things from Matt's point of view. The narrator did a good job at bring Matt to life (though I would have preferred to have a deeper male voice). You don't have to have listened to the previous books in the series. So overall a great story with a good narrator. Well worth a listen

Self Centered Bastard gets his just desserts!

Would you consider the audio edition of Confessions of a Litigation God: A Legal Affairs Full Length Erotic Novel to be better than the print version?

Did not "read" the book in print

What about Lee Samuels’s performance did you like?

Lee Samuels is an awesome narrator. I've listened to a few of his books and in this one, he plays an awesome ass! Only to later on in the story, realize that being a self-centered asshole isn't gonna get the girl.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It actually ticked me off at times because it was playing with me.... I don't like that. They get together, they fall apart, they get together, they fall apart.... Get your shit together you TWO... jeez... Overall however, I enjoyed the story. I laughed a few times but my anger at the two of them for their behavior wouldn't allow me to cry. I just wanted to look them book in the eye and say... "grow up you two!"

Same book as Legal Affairs!

I kept thinking this sounds so familiar, I doubled checked and no this was not in my library, then I went back to Legal Affairs which I had read, sure enough, it's the same damn book! Different reader and this one is a little longer but the same characters and the same story!! This is a total rip off! Not fair! Wasted a credit! So one of them but not both! Have no idea why they did this.

Loved this one!

This was a great book told completely from the male point of view. I've read books that would switch off male/female in different chapters but never one that was all told from the guys side. I kept wondering what is "she" thinking and how could she keep with him the way he treated her - sometimes you wonder why she would not just kick him to the curb. I was so hooked on this story that I couldn't put it down. As soon as I finished it I went looking for more from this author. Unfortunately, the second one, Alex, isn't even close. Stick with this one. From the narrator to the story it is the best I've listened to in a very long time.

Matt tells his side of the story

After reading/listening to McKayla's side of the story (in Legal Affairs), I knew I had to hear Matt's side too. I love seeing things through Matt's eyes and knowing his thoughts and reactions first hand. We also get extra information that we wouldn't have known if without Matt's POV. Even though some parts were repetitive, I love this couple so much and I loved getting to spend more time with them so I enjoyed Confessions of a Litigation God.

I thought the narrator, Lee Samuels, nailed Matt's voice and personality. He sounds sexy with a voice like butter and what I imagined Matt would sound. I always measure a well-produced and well-narrated audiobook if it adds a new dimension to the story that I wouldn't have gotten if I was just reading it on my own, and I definitely got that in the audiobook.

If you've read and loved Legal Affairs, definitely check out Confessions of a Litigation God and spend more time with Mac and Matt.

Ok

Listening was so so I wouldn’t go has far as what it was hype up to be. But all in all pretty decent.

Another Sawyer Bennett Winner

I absolutely loved the first 6 Legal Affairs books, and reading them all again in this one book from Matt's POV made me love both Matt and Mac all the more. I did feel however that Matt came across as more of a jerk than I originally thought, heartless, so very selfish and oh so stubborn. Still love him to bits though. Thank heavens that Mac is so adorably perfect, understanding and can stand up for herself. With 'out of this world' chemistry (sizzling hot), Matt and Mac are in my mind, the perfect couple. It's just a shame that Matt seems to be fighting their attraction and is unable to commit. I love all Sawyer Bennett's books, her writing is sexy, witty, and the perfect mix of angst and HEA. Although this book can very definitely be read as a standalone, I would recommend that the first 6 novellas are read first to gain maximum enjoyment.
