An effulgence of wit & romance

I had left a five star review, but I woke up this morning calling every group that came to mind an effulgence of [group of stuff]. I thought I should share. Food Lion delivered an effulgence of groceries. We drank an effulgence of margaritas. #AnEffulgenceOfRoBro

Sooooo Eff'ing GOOD!!!

This book has become one of my top three favorites by JA Huss (and Jonathan McClain) which was incredibly hard to narrow down considering Ford has been (and will ALWAYS be) my own personal version of an "ultimate wet dream"!!
Steve Smith has just become a serious contender for second place though.
This was just an absolute laugh out loud joy to read.
Since I first read the Rook & Ronin series, anything written by Julie (and now Julie & Jonathan) has been an automatic one click and buy.
(do not pass go..do not collect $200)
The Ro Bro just reinforces that decision.
Now..as for the narration in this delicious bit of prose..well..I'm not sure how it could possibly have been any better.
Seriously!!
Cordelia came alive and her wordy little quirks were portrayed PERFECTLY!
Steve was represented as if...the part was written FOR him!! (🤭😉🤫)
All kidding aside, the faultless performance by Tad just highlighted the unbelievable chemistry between Steve and Cordie.
Just an exemplary production all the way around.

This is an outright 27 out of 5 star read in my opinion.

Behind the curtain

Jonathan and Julie don’t disappoint in this funny, romantic peek behind the curtain of romance writers. Although I have never had to use a dictionary while listening to an audiobook, it was well worth it (and my vocabulary has improved!). Witty and entertaining.

Yes Sir, may I have some more

I never write reviews. Ever. This is my first. Funniest, wordiest, best book ever! Had to look up the meaning to some of the words. I love when a book makes you do that. The magic in this book is real from the characters to the plot. I think Raylen/Leslie was the one of the best characters to love and hate. I mean you feel bad for her but you don't. I loved everything about this book. Made me LOL and tear up too. Thank you again Julie and Jonathan for another wonderful read, books are my escape and when it's a good book it leaves you feeling the best!

Amazing!!!

I have enjoyed every book that these two authors have collaborated on, so I went into this one with pretty high expectations, and they did not disappoint!
The premise of the book revolves around an indie author finally getting her big break at a Las Vegas book signing and of course, hilarity ensues. Like all Vegas events, there is a meet cute, crazy fans, sexy, narrators, swing dancing, and an ambulance ride to the ER.
What more could you ask for, lol?
