I absolutely love Siobhan's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Bennett and Sierra. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Gideon and Veronica did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love mafia romances, dark romances, age-gap romances, or second chance romances.


Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

First Siobhan audiobook for me, def not the last!

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this audiobook and this one blew everything out of the water! I have heard amazing things about Siobhan Davis' work and I have a few of her audiobooks in my library/ebooks on my kindle and after listening to Condemned to Love those other works by her will be moving up my TBR/TBL lists, that's for sure! Amazing job all around, can't wait til book 2 in this series of standalone stories is on audio 😍

In terms of the story, loved the back and forth between Sierra and Bennett. Loved seeing their relationship from the very beginning, see the ups and downs, and then see their HEA. I usually don't gravitate to books with kids (nothing wrong with them, just not a mom and my reading tastes just don't think ooooh lets add the kids and family dynamic to a sexy romance haha unless its in the epilogue). I will say that part of this story kinds stole the show and my heart 🤣. I thought Bennet had a huge growth and Sierra did a good job being strong when she needed to be, and slowly let Ben back into her life. I did think some instances he got off too easy for how he treated her, but he is a mafia man so that comes with some things we all don't agree with, behavior-wise, that people kinda get over quickly haha. Sorry don't want to spoil anything so not going into specifics here. I enjoyed the various side characters and hope a lot of them get their own stories. I loved some of the humor in this story, I wasn't expecting it. It was a nice touch of romance, steam, and story. I couldn't believe how long after the first sexy scene until the 2nd one and not gonna lie, I didnt miss it/I was so engrossed in the story I wasn't gunning for it until around there anyway. The story flowed really well you didnt miss the actual sexy scenes, but the tension was off the chart anyway 🥵. Some of the twists in this one were great (some you could see coming, but it didnt detract from the surprise and shock value too much), and I actually kept getting sad thinking it would end soon. I loved that this was a chunky audiobook, kept me occupied while I was sick, helped take my mind off the pain I was going through.

In terms of the narration, I thought Veronica and Gideon did a great job bringing these characters to life. I thought Gideon was stronger in his performance, really channeling the mafioso air around him, with his tone, the way he talked, and the acting/performance. Amazing job. Veronica was good, still 5/5 stars from me, but some of the side characters she did weren't as convincing. But ooooh did she do a good job with the craaaaazy characters hahaha.

Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook and story, I saw book 2 in this series just released on ebook, so hopefully not too much longer for it on audio! I can't wait to get some of the sisters and their love stories after everything they have been through, they deserve their HEAs (Bennet and Sierra's sisters ❤️)!

What an amazing book!

I would love to read about the rest of the characters. I had to lock myself away so the family wouldn't interrupt my listening.

⭐️ DIDN’T WANT TO STOP.. AND COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN ⭐️

I LOVED the dual pov narration that brought this exciting, weighty, action-packed Mafia romance between Bennett and Sierra to life. A Fated yet doomed romance that should’ve gone absolutely nowhere.. and yet it did, in a delicious tale of wrong time • right time • making time is not me • the passing of time • never enough time • time is running out • and finally, we have all the time in the world. I LOVED.. LOVED Bennett and Sierra’s personalities and chemistry, their joint understanding and respect for each other and for initially getting their priorities right by putting their tentative relationship, fireworks and friction on hold. Until they just couldn’t help themselves any longer - letting the smolders, sizzles, sex and love in despite everything. I LOVED.. LOVED.. LOVED the Mafia world-building, the dangers and manoeuvres, the family (and famiglia) dynamics and dysfunction, the suspense and danger and the tension-filled twists and turns that would make a great movie I’d pay top dollar to see. So basically, I LOVE.. LOVED.. LOVED.. LOVED absolutely every single thing about this awesomely written Mafia love story that I just could put down until the wee hours slowly crept up on me.

Worth a credit? One hundred percent yes.. and the thing I absolutely L•O•V•E•D the most was that this story wasn’t chopped-up and broken down into a double payday Duet or triple payday Trilogy for greed. Thank you Siobhan Davis for giving us one complete delicious story with blissfully no cliffhangers, no annoying wait times, no further precious credits needed and no bad feeling of being Audibly mugged off at the end of the listen I 👏👏👏👏 and ❤️ u for that.

The guy in the story is both physically and emotionally abusive, controlling yet can’t control himself, has no respect for her as a person and is super emotional with anger outburst. I’m just not really into that trope and instead of feeling engrossed in the story I just felt a bit of disgust whenever they interacted.

Siobhan Davis continues to wow me with another amazing novel, an intense, dark mafia romance that contains some mind-blowing twists and turns. The story grabs your attention right from the start and captivates it the entire time, this is one of those books that are hard to put down because you need to know what happens next. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, some are easy to like, some you want to hate but can’t, then there are the ones you can’t stand. Sierra Lawson’s family is well off, her father is the CEO of the family’s Pharmaceutical Corporation, and she and her two older sisters grew up privileged, though her father always favored her sisters over her, probably because she was an unplanned pregnancy. Sierra had a crush on her older sister’s boyfriend, Bennett “Ben” Carver, when she was thirteen, but Ben disappeared from Saskia’s life and Sierra never saw him again until she runs into some trouble in Vegas while out with friends celebrating her twenty-first birthday. The Ben she knew when she was a teenager was no more, he changed and turned into something all together different and not in a good way. That Vegas scene was intense, and it changed Sierra’s life forever more. I loved the originality of this story and Ms. Davis’ Mafia world, the world building is phenomenal, the power plays, the secrets and the lies behind it all, it is a cleverly plotted story and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, thrilling suspense and a hot romance. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another fantastic story and a thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride.

They did an awesome job bringing these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow and tell who is who. Their portrayal of the characters was spot on, they had a complete understanding of the roles they played, took each and making it their own, sounding believable in every role and just as I pictured they would sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. What a great book

Sierra is the youngest Lawson sister and she has a crush on her older sisters boyfriend. Ben has always been kind to Sierra and has hated how her sister treated her he always made Sierra feel safe. Sierra is a really nice woman who would do absolutely anything for the people in her life that she loves.She has always had a major crush on her sisters then boyfriend Ben and when she bumps into him years later he is totally different and he really isn’t the man that she once knew.Ben has had things quite tough until his father took him in years ago.Ben is now the boss and not that sweet faced guy he once was.After Sierra’s birthday in Vegas goes wrong the last person she expected in this group of people was Ben.but he is the only guy right now that can help.They both have amazing chemistry even though it’s been years and they both give each other a run for the money as neither of them back down and in Ben’s line of work he is used to getting what he wants.Siobhan Davis did such an outstanding job plotting this story.She did such a wonderful job writing these characters. The narrators did an outstanding job bringing this story to life. They did such a wonderful job telling Sierra and Ben story. I highly recommend everyone to check this story out

Good story

The story is well written with unexpected twist and turn. However it could have been better with a bit more smut action.

Shocking and alluring all at once!

Holy hotness!

This book was so good! I mean of course I expected nothing less from Siobhan but I was still amazed by this book.

I loved Sierra and Ben! I loved the connection and pure love between them from the start even if they couldn't admit it. The twists in this book though, my mouth was on the ground! Like what?! I was shocked.. completely shocked. I can honestly say I never would've guessed ANY of it!

I loved this book so much I instantly reread it as soon as I finished wanting to go back and see if I could catch any clues, to not be so flabbergasted, I mean I knew it was coming the second time around and I was still reeling from it. I loved it!!

These narrators were amazing! I loved the way they narrated the book and hit the emotions spot on! I can't wait to listen to more from them.

It was like the book came to life with the narration, there was so much emotion that the narrators showed with their portrayals. I loved that there was so much happening in this book.

The age gap part of the book was well done there was also such a brilliant dark streak running through this book. It wasn’t dark for the sake of being dark it built the story up further and increased my interest.

Siobhan is certainly a brilliant wordsmith, her world building and character building was absolutely brilliant.

OMG!!!!

This book really hooked me at the very beginning. Then there was a thing that happened in the first few chapters that really made me cringe. It could have gone a lot worse. I honestly thought it was going to. It didn’t. I’m thankful for that. I don’t think I would have continued the book if it had. It was a really intense and interesting book. There are some areas I didn’t enjoy and some that I felt could have been prolonged a bit more. Either way, I really enjoyed it. I give it a four out of five-star rating.

Okay this was a really good book. But can you believe that sh*****. How could a sister and father do that to there own family member. That is just crazy. I kinda with that little secret that was out at the end was true. But then I'm glad it's not. But dang such a good story. I just love it. And I'm happy for her other sister to find real love this time. Well I hope doesn't really say but it looks like it. Lol. Anyway you guys are going to love this book. The narrator's did a really great job too.

this standalone was great story and it is not what you think it would be like! this story was sexy , intriguing, very fast paced.I am a very big fan of this story.I will reread this great story! Siobhan is a great story teller and Gideon and Veronica did a great job bringing book to life!

My Thoughts on Condemned to Love

This was such a well written story. I loved the way everything unfolded and there were so many secrets and twists and just unexpected things going on. It had me absolutely hooked on the story and wanting to listen in every free moment. The characters were all very developed with layers and depths that came out as the story progressed. It had so many tropes I love too. Age gap, secret baby, friends to enemies to lovers, sister’s ex, mafia, dark. But it was blended perfectly.

The narration was great as well. Both narrators gave an excellent performance and really impressed me as newer to me voices. Neither Gideon Frost nor Veronica Fox have narrated many of the books I’ve listened to in the past. But this performance definitely left an impression and I’d be very happy to see either of them in more stories going forward.

It had me hooked from the start it’s one of the best dark mafia romances I’ve listened to so far. Every Siobhan Davis does is excellent and this was perfection. The story was riveting the characters were great , well most of them there were one or two I’d like to slap mainly Saskia and her ignorant Father. I listened to it all in one sitting it’s now 4.11am here and it’s left me on a high it was so good. This is the first time I’ve heard Gideon Frost and I really enjoyed his narration and Veronica Fox was also great.

Condemned to Love is a dark mafia/second chance romance that grabbed my attention right from the very beginning and held it all the way until the end. It is the story of Sierra and Ben and is full of danger, suspense, secrets & lies, and twists & turns. I love this story and highly recommend it to anyone who loves dark romance. Gideon Frost and Veronica Fox both did an excellent job bringing this story to life.
