My husband. My tormentor.

The most notorious man in the city offers me a job.

Act as his dead wife.

Adrian Volkov isn’t the type of person who takes no for an answer.

He commands with an iron fist and all his orders are met.

When he approaches me with the offer, I have two options.

Go to prison or put myself under his wrath.

I choose to have a roof over my head. What’s so hard about acting, right?

Wrong.

The moment I step into his wife’s shoes, everything spirals out of control.

My only way of survival is through Adrian.

Or is it?

Vow of Deception is book one of a trilogy and is not stan-dalone.

This was quite a whirlwind and it’s only begun! Rina is kicking this trilogy off with a real bang that has so many theories running through my head. I honestly don’t even want to try to figure it out. There are a few elements in Vow of Deception that we’ve seen previously but they do add to the suspense of this plot line so I didn’t mind the reoccurrence. The creep vibes are high and the heat is scorching.

I am blown away by the talents of Jason Clarke and Desiree Ketchum in this title. They both exquisitely portrayed the level of emotions needed and equally lit this audio on FIRE! These two are a duo that I absolutely need more of. Jason’s growl and passion, Desiree’s depth and male voice? Complete perfection.

Adrian is a narcissistic, sociopath. I’m not even gonna lie, the man is not sane. But that’s one of my favorite kinds of antiheroes. He’s unpredictable, hostile, closed off. It’s clear that he has blinders on when it comes to his wife and the obsession he has for her, I can feel him shifting through out this book though. He’s drawn toward this new version of her and Adrian isn’t even realizing it.

It’s hard to talk about this heroine without giving away plot details. Details that I think the reader should come upon organically to formulate their own feelings. She’ll leave you confused, as confused as she is. I honestly don’t know how I feel about her or where those feelings are going to go. I enjoyed her fight, her innate need to keep herself focused.

I do know that if you want to read a book that sucks you in from the first page and consumes your attention while reading than this is for you. If you want an antihero that is utterly unmoving, disconnected yet so in love it ruins him than Adrian is for you. If you want a story that you can’t figure out and makes you want to instantly reread for the slightest clues than Vow of Deception is for you.

Suspenseful and Addictive

Commit to this series! I’m writing the same review for all 3 books in the Deception trilogy. I just finished this series and wow it’s such amazing writing! Rina Kent created such a great characters with depth. At first I wasn’t sure at first when I started Vow of Deception. I stuck with it and I so enjoyed the process. When I got to Tempted by Deception I was talking out loud and connect dots & making predictions. By the time I started the last book Consumed by Deception my love for Lia & Adrian was as unbreakable as it was in the story. They came close to the edge and in the end they took that leap of faith. All three books are worth the credits the money.
Narration was perfect Jason Clarke & Desiree Ketchum just perfect. Loved their accents and emotion they put in their reading. Excellent!

Worth the ride!! Amazing!!
