Colby

Until I pissed Lloyd off, I'd always thought that the Omega Auctions were an urban myth, something that packs used to scare Omegas into obeying. As it turns out, not so much. When Lloyd and Ivan delivered me to the auction house, it was immediately clear that shit had just gotten real. I could only guess at what Lloyd had written on my intake forms, but it was obvious that these people believed I was dangerous.

Rafe

"Usually only one reason that an Alpha buys someone like me," Colby had said.

I watched the emotions flitting through eyes on a face set like stone and considered his words.

Colby might be bigger, stronger, and, yeah, tougher than most Omegas, but he was still an Omega. An unbonded Omega with no pack. An Omega who thought that the differences that set him apart, the differences that made my wolf scream with the need to claim him, meant that he'd stay that way.

Wow, miscommunication much?

This was a good story marred by a lot of miscommunication. That is frustrating in itself, but I'm not sure the author did a good enough job (for my taste) of establishing why both MCs had such an issue. I understood Colby's inability, for the most part. Overall, this story does a great job of keeping the series going and setting up dramatic tension for the next book.

Accepting people's differences

I still did not like the narrator but I did enjoy the book very much. I blocked out the sound of the voice and just concentrated on the words.
Colby isn't the normal submissive Omega. Everyone in his previous pack thought that he was an alpha until he went into heat. So he was raised as an alpha and was very strong. Colby was given to an alpha by his father. But the alpha was twice his age and Colby refused to mate him, so he was taken to auction.
Rafe is at the auction house searching for his perfect Omega mate while also doing an investigation. He finds out that the Omega of an alpha he knows is being sold after she was taken.
He asks if there are any Omegas that meet his requirements of being strong and not being overly submissive. They show him Colby.
This is not only the story between the two main characters but also the acceptance of an Omega who is different, by other members of the new pack. This new pack does investigations for other packs so there is the search for missing Omegas happening too.
I liked this book and will read more in this series

Strong Omega

My biggest complaint to the audio narration was they fact that I had to speed up the reading of the book just a bit. I loved the different unconventional ideas presented in this story. I like how strong Colby is including stand up to those who attack him. I was a bit confused those on the time frame of the captured omega and how long ago he was seen but I am looking forward to see what will happen next

Robot narrator

I just could not get into the story, I had to double check to see if maybe it actually narrated by a real person or C-3PO

I really enjoyed this!

I am not going to rewrite the story here. I enjoyed the book. Be careful of a trigger. It is nice to be accepted the way you are!

Better than the first book.

This is much better than the first book. This one actually has a plot! Lol.

But, seriously, the characters are interesting. The character progression seems much more realistic than the first book.

However, I don't love the performance. The 'tricks' the narrator uses is a huge turn off.

Great Author, Great Series!

Narrator is ok. Sounds like he takes a yoga breath after each sentence. But the series is great with books 1 & 2 being my favorite. I couldn't put any of them down.

Horrible

This was so lame I couldn't possibly listen to any more without cringing myself to death. I think the author was thinking that if everything that happened to one of the MC was terrible and unfair enough, this would garner the interest and sympathies of their listeners so they'd stick around without having to put any actual writing or plot into their story.

Horrible. All of it. The writing. The dialogue. The narrator (though to give him credit he WAS reading a very lousy story so its no small wonder that he didn't burst out laughing every paragraph).

I really did try. I'll give the third book in this series a chance but I'm definetly returning the first two; theres no way this was worth 13 bucks. I don't hold out much hope for the third book being any better though.

I LOVED IT

This book was better than the first book. I loved it. The story had some humorous parts. The sex scenes were hot especially the one involving Rafe's Harley. Sometimes the lines got cross between Rafe and Colby on who was the Alpha, but it worked out. It was great catching up with Clint and Trevor again.
