Publisher's summary

The richest bachelor in England plays matchmaker…for an heiress he wants for himself!

For beautiful, witty Lavinia Gray, there’s only one thing worse than having to ask the appalling Parth Sterling to marry her: being turned down by him.

Now the richest bachelor in England, Parth is not about to marry a woman as reckless and fashion-obsessed as Lavinia; he’s chosen a far more suitable bride.

But when he learns of Lavinia's desperate circumstances, he offers to find her a husband. Even better, he’ll find her a prince.

As usual, there’s no problem Parth can’t fix. But the more time he spends with the beguiling Lavinia, the more he finds himself wondering…

Why does the woman who’s completely wrong feel so right in his arms?

Somehow I was disappointed......

Since I tend to carry all the audio books of this author, I can say accurately that I personally was disappointed with this book. I do like the narrator, so that is not the problem. Somehow I failed to catch the barbed riposte, or perhaps the scintillating badinage slipped by me. Anyway, I was disappointed!

Born to be Wilde

This is another Wilde book. It’s all about the love and pageantry of regency England.

Wonderfully Wilde!

From the moment they appeared in the first book, I wanted this story. It did not disappoint. Susan Duerden delivered a great audio reading and as always, Eloisa James nailed it. Loved it!

Perfect, had everything I love in a period romance novel!!!

This was a GREAT series and I encourage you to give it a try. I am looking forward to Betsy and Jeremy story. A big beautiful family with imperfections, had some sizzle, sauce, and flaws and a lot of love. It will join my other favorite author Julie Garwoods books on my shelf to read re-read many times. Well done Eloise James and my all time favorite narrator Susan Duerdon. I actually found the series & Eloise James by looking for books Susan narrates.

Hot Hot Romance

Loved this book, the narrator was excellent. Loved the banter between Lavinia and Parth. From the beginning you could tell
how Parth felt about her but she misconstrued. When she was in dire need she asks for his hand in marriage but he refuses.
But as they get to know each other things change. I just love the Wilde Family and their Aunt.

The Best One Yet

I have been following this Wilde series since the release of Wilde in Love and found this to be the best one yet. Partly because some characters from Wilde in Love and Too Wilde to Wed are more fleshed out into rich characters but also because a lot of the multi-tiered storyline is revealed through character dialogue vs. internal angst and narrator prose. After plodding through many unsatisfactory Regency romances, this well-rounded story combines good characters, a few storylines woven together seamlessly, steamy enough love and romance plus the set-up for the next Wilde ride to make for a very satisfying story. For someone reading this while pondering a listen, it's a complete story on its own but much, much better having heard the first two stories in the series.
