fun ride

I enjoyed this tale. The blacksmithing was fun to watch grow. enjoyed how the concept worked into growth.

Great magic system

I loved Ashborn Primordial and was excited to give Christian's new series a listen. It's quickly become one of my favorites. The magic system was really cool.

Fantastic listen

I always love a good progression litRPG, and this one hit all the boxes for me. Can't wait for the next book!

Christian J. Gilliland did an excellent job narrating. It was great to listen to him bring Prime's world alive.

not bad

so far the book is doing pretty good don't have anything negative to say right now there's a few minor things but they're not worth mentioning more of a preference but not bad so far looking forward to the next one

Week main character and terrible French accent

I have my doubts rhe author has played an online game to an end game level. Any character that relies on equipment to get them through is dead.
That aside, I can’t take his companions fake French accent. Makes the narrative hard to understand. He’s got a universal translator from a God and that’s the best I can do? I find the same issue with other audiobooks where they feel each character has to have an extreme accent to differentiate them. It’s just one of my pet peeves with audiobooks in general.
I don’t actually know if I can finish this book due to the above. The concept I thought had possibilities when I read the synopsis. The author may write himself out of the hole he’s dug, but I don’t think I can keep going to see it.

Whole lot of nothing

The summary is a lie.
He makes very little progression aside from wearing multiple layers of clothes to get extra stats that still leaves him with multiple times less stats than his lower ranked companion. He gains little knowledge and has little strength.

Bad class

Narrator is a bit low volume a bit hard on headphones.
As for the MC hes supposed to be some great gamer who can exploit the system to be super strong. Yet he takes penalty and class that makes him super weak compared to anyone with the same class. He also is by far weaker than his companion. Like where he has 10 stats in something they have say 30.
He has all these grand plans without anyway to actually pay for any of it.
From how his class works to his plans it is all a mess.
It will take tons of plot armor and author duex ex machina opportunities to make his character strong let alone exploit OP.
Not sure if ill read the next probably will check reviews to see if it turns out good or if he stays weak while outshone by his companions.

Aimless and boring.

Mc takes a deal to get isekai'd and has nothing to do but wonder around and level. By the end of the book you find out the 7 or so gods have champions and the mc is the champion of the god of order who never brings a champion so the evil or apocalypse is never destroyed but seal away until now is persumed, but the mc never get any close to doing anything about these evil forces or to stop the apocalypse cause he's there smithing and leveling stats in a boring way. Its like leveling for leveling sake, theirs no point or real plot, its like a slice-of-life.
