Publisher's Summary

So Help Me God relates the compelling story of Chief Justice Roy Moore, including his controversial Ten Commandments displays, his refusal to obey an unlawful order of a federal court, and why the critical legal and political question of our time is, 'Can the state acknowledge God?'

"God is sovereign and shall remain so despite what the Supreme Court and federal district courts of this land say. I have kept my oath and my promise to the people of the state of Alabama. I've obeyed the rule of law by not following the unlawful dictates of man." - Former Chief Justice Roy S. Moore, following his removal from office

Critic Reviews

"In this fascinating memoir, [Moore] reflects on his struggle to comply with the law and be true to his faith....His passion in asserting his own religious commitment reflects his personal courage in standing up for his beliefs, but for those who do not share them, he also makes a clear case for justifying the sanctions against him." After listening to Judge Moore's words

I admire him. His words need to be heard by all. Once you read this book you will understand why Judge Moore refused to remove the ten commandments monument and why it was proper they were placed there. Even though they came from God, they don't represent Him. The truth is they are the basis of all our laws. And since the State and Federal Supreme Courts interpret our laws, what better place for them to be shown then where those courts reside.

could be a better telling of story

I think that this book is worth reading. It is not the most interesting reading even though the story it tells is in fact interesting.

Tremendous!

This book is an amazing story of Roy Moore’s determination to keep his oath to both the Alabama and US constitutions in the right to acknowledge God in the public sphere.

He's missed the point

The judge fails to realize that by creating an alliance with government he is actually reducing religious freedom rather than enhancing it. What he, and others of the same persuasion want, is really to force his particular brand of religion on everyone. The danger is that political promotion of any religion will also trivialize it. His point of view is very dangerous for religious beliefs. I recommend the book not for his view but as a revelation of the ignorance and callous disregard for true religious beliefs his book promotes.

Total Crap

I find it shocking that such a narrow minded hypocrite could be the judge in a county fair much less a chief justice.
