Publisher's summary

Rule number one. Never fall for a musician.

Rule number two. There are no exceptions to rule number one.

As a professional sound engineer, I’m around musicians every day, so I know what I’m talking about when I say they aren’t boyfriend material. They’re only looking out for number one, and that ain’t you, honey. Give them a map with destination "Not on Your Life, Mister" highlighted, underlined, and circled for good measure.

That being said, what am I supposed to do with Asher North, lead singer of the band True North and my new boss? My glares don’t intimidate him, and my sarcasm only seems to draw him closer instead of pushing him away. The longer we’re on tour together, the less my rules make sense. And the more he looks at me the way he does, as if he can see right through the wall I’ve so diligently constructed, the more I want to throw those rules right out the window.

Sweet Christian Romance

This is my first book by this author and I did enjoy it. The narrator did a great job with Betsy and I felt like her voice matched well with the character. It was easy to listen to and enjoyable.
As for the story, Besty was a little too mean and stubborn at times for my taste, but overall I liked it.

Amazing Conclusion to the Sewing in SoCal Series!

What an absolutely amazing conclusion to the Sewing in SoCal series! I’ve loved each and every book in this series, but this one might be my favorite! I’ve been so looking forward to reading Betsy’s story, I just knew she had quite a backstory behind her snarky self! I loved finally getting to know Betsy, and I ended up loving her character just as I knew I would! Asher is such an amazing and swoon-worthy hero, he is the perfect sunshine to Betsy’s grumpy and I absolutely adored him!
I absolutely loved every minute of this story, but I was sad to say goodbye to the Sewing in SoCal ladies who have come to feel like friends to me! I hope Sarah Monzon gives Betsy’s sister Bella her own story at some point, I’d love to read it!
I most highly recommend this delightful romcom! Loved, loved, LOVED it! Each book in the series stands alone, but I’d suggest starting at the beginning with Molly, because you won’t want to miss a moment of the awesomeness that is this series!
I listened to this one in audiobook and Stevi Incremona’s narration was absolutely phenomenal!

I received a complimentary audiobook copy of this book from the author, and I also purchased a paperback copy for my collection.
My review was not influenced in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

sweet grumpy/sunshine romcom

Betsy is a sweet rom-com story, the last in the Sewing in SoCal series by Sarah Monzon. I have to say, I'm going to really miss these characters -- but am planning on rereading them all together, back to back.

Betsy's got some prickles, but she also has reasons for those prickles... no matter how much of a double standard they might be.

And as prickly and pokey as sarcastic Betsy can be, Asher is every bit as sweet.

She's determined that all musicians are not to be trusted.

He is a musician.

The growth I saw in both Betsy and Asher impressed me and made me love them both that much more. And Asher's persistent and patient pursuing of Betsy... it was THE sweetest thing.

I don't want to say too much more because you really just need to read it.

I'll compare this book with guacamole that's got jalapeño in it. The book itself is sweet and clean, and some excellent Christian fiction -- but Betsy herself, that's where the jalapeño comes in. With her sarcasm. The good character development and fun writing style, together with the plot, make this book what it is, and that is a Kindle book that I already have two copies of. I plan to grab a paperback for my bookshelf as well.

I couldn't be happier with this story or with the recording of it. Stevi Incremona was back again to read this one, and there's a surprise in it that's worth listening just for that. But really, you should listen for the beautiful storyline and characters as well. :)
