The story:

B A N G ! ! !

I swear if I hear narrator say BANG one more time.... I thought it was a one chapter theme but this is the third I think or fourth.... UGH!!!

Outstanding!

I got a little lost in the weeds and I'll have to listen to it again. It pulls some Tarantino time jumps and so if you don't pay attention or if like me you pause the story every 10 minutes it'll be hard to keep up. It was still very good and I'll enjoy listening to it again.

Great Backstory

This was an excellent telling of the backstory of Belisarius Cawl. It really gave perspective on his personality and that of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Interesting and greatly narrated story

I have been playing the Warhammer 40k board game for 2 years, this was my first delve deeper into the lore behind the Warhammer universe. I enjoyed the story very much, it is very well written, captivating and also greatly narrated. I highly recommend it.

Top 5 40k book for me.

Great Book! Going back and forth 10000 years at a time was hard to follow tho as an adio book.

Belisarius Cawl is even cooler that I thought!

I feel like I learned so much about him yet still know nothing! There is so much depth to him a a character and rightfully so! Great story telling and I loved how his past was presented. Worked very well with the narrative of why they were on the planet. I enjoyed the ride!

first foray into audiobooks, and a 40k novel

First off, the performance and voices were amazingly done abd really helped to give each character a personality and to help differentiate them.

if you have no knowledge of 40k lore, I cannot recommend this a starting point. you will be lost often and will miss out on a lot of the nuance.

Belisarius Cawl is truly a bada$$ character and I didn't think too much of him before this book.

The bit of jumping around and side stories may also be confusing.

Tho none of this can I hold against this AB.
