Publisher's Summary

“We were a thousand miles away from home when the car gave up the ghost....”

When Jack’s car breaks down in the middle of a cross-country road trip, the mysterious house at the top of the hill is a beacon of hope. If he can borrow a phone to call for help, he’ll be on his way in no time. But someone - or something - has other plans. Soon, Jack finds himself trapped in a nightmare that defies logic, where a depraved killer on the loose is the least of his problems. Will Jack escape before it’s too late?

A house full of strangers.

An unsolvable mystery.

A night that won’t end.

Welcome to Bedside Manor.

A Must If You Enjoy Tales From The Gas Station

To say this book is good would be a grave understatement. Ever since I found Tales From The Gas Station on MrCreepyPasta's YouTube channel I was hooked on Jack Townsend's literary work. I am grateful that he let MrCreepyPasta read his original versions of Tales From The Gas Station so I could be introduced to his work. Not only are they very well written they are also funny to the point I cry. Jack and Jerry are 2 people I will never forget.

Wonderful and true.

9.9 out of 10.
Why?
Same audio from YouTube just in a format Audible could use. Not a bad thing, I will support Jack Townsend and MCP, always.
I just hoped for more addition to the narration or effects. Something different from the original narration on YT. Overall 9.9

Love it however you can get it for free

This is the same audio as the YouTube renditions, save for a few fixed moments of stutter. In the YouTube rendition of the story you can find music based on the atmosphere and more sound effects I believe that the audiobook here has quite a few sound effects and a little bit of music but copyright issues they are unable to use the YouTube format of music. All around a great read and a little better if you like to hear the story and words coming out to pick up on the subtle cues and if you prefer to listen to the story with music you can go on YouTube for the exact same story just with music

Pretty good. Definitely entertaining

I love Mr creep pasta. I was bummed this book was shorter than the others in the series but it was still worth buying. The gas station parts are better but there is only so much that a dude can do at the station. Natural progression. I do hope there r more books as Jerry is the coolest character ever. Fearlessly free minded. I think there is a back story to him all on his own. Just an idea If anyone reads this. I have an audiobook club with some mates and we all agree. Not taking anything away from Jack and his life that must me suck a daily mental battle. The lightness of the story doesn’t eat away at you about his life because Mrcreepypasta brings everyone to life like I believe no one could. Definitely a yes from me for an enjoyable listen. Listened in one day and now I’m off searching for more. Only complaint. Well done.

not what I was expecting

great story, Jack took us on a heck of a trip here. I hope there will be more in the series.
characters felt flushed out enough to know which each one is. but the over all twist in the story got me hooked into it. looking forward to more of Jack's work.

always get absorbed in tales from the gas station

bedside manor is a quick dive into the chaotic world that somehow always pulls in Jack Townsend and his ride or die bi$*& Jeremy Pascal. Will our heros prevail tune in on book 4 of tales from the gas station. Side note the narrator MrCreepyPasta has given life to these characters/people be it in the audio books or from his YouTube, fingers crossed that he makes an appearance in book 4 as a passersby talking to Jack in all the voices then sells his wife's tea.

So much fun

I stumbled upon Jack Townsend's books by chance and I have to say what a crazy fun ride it has been. I'm always looking for the next book released and this one was short but definitely hits with a bang start to finish.

Pretty good

This is a pretty good story. There are a few plot holes I noticed at the end, but whatever. It’s still a fun time. My biggest critique is that I didn’t enjoy the extra sound effects. The narration is good enough on its own. I really didn’t like the short music clips, the other sounds were mostly ok.

The Whole Story is on YouTube

I love these so much but I was a little disappointed to find that I paid for this story that was basically the same as the one uploaded to the reader’s channel. Usually with these, the version on YouTube is an abridged version of the story, but not this time. I’m glad to support the creator but it was just a bit underwhelming when I was expecting some blanks filled in.

Fantastic series!

I really enjoyed Tales from the Gas Station, so when this popped up in my recommendations I went straight for it, and I'm so glad I did. It's a great continuation of the series, but can also be read (or listened to) as a standalone book, and like the others, it's funny, batsh*t, and brilliant. You know a story is good when you audibly react to it. The cliffhanger ending is upsetting - I need to know what happens next - but I can't wait for the next one. Jack Townsend is fast joining my list of favourite authors.

Excellent fun!

I’ve been really enjoying tales from the gas station, this is mostly just more of the same, albeit brief. It feels the right length though and is the most coherent and self contained of the series so far, you wouldn’t even really need to have read the previous books.

I’ve always found the narrator a little off, he pauses in odd places for just a little too long, I was never sure if that was intentional, like the audio equivalent of a Dutch angle or just inexpert editing which would account for the occasional cough too, but it’s much better in this book, the minor sound effects aren’t too obtrusive and the odd bits of interstitial music does help build some atmosphere.

Overall it’s just a lot of fun.

love tales from the gas station and MCP narration but the sound effects in it make it hard for me to listen to it. everything else 👌👌👌
