Awwww a deaf character

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I love that it is so inclusive. There's been a black girl, natural red head and now a hearing accessible girl. And I'm loving it!

Book 7 and my favourite so far.

This is book 7 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and while each story stands alone, I recommend they be read in order.

This is Lila and Rokan’s story and it’s my favourite so far. The depth of love and commitment shown in this novel was beautifully intense. It also explored Metlak society a little, and other delightful discoveries on the planet. Additionally, it delved into the importance of communication and independence in a way I found satisfying. Thanks Ruby Dixon!

Audible narrators Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

This series has been a welcome and unexpected boost to my romance listening enjoyment. It just keeps getting better. Not a dull moment.

This series is so good. The characters are very real and diverse. This book give us a inside into Metlak society.

Great series!!

I was a little surprised to be seeing new characters at this point, but OMG!! Can you imagine THIS on top of an alien abduction!? As of that's not bad enough, you have to manage a disability without a support system?? This MIGHT be my new favorite in the series so far. MAYBE!

My senses were reeling!

I loved this story and Lila has become one of my favorites. She is so fierce, even without being able to hear, on a strange planet. Rokan is the sweetest and the patience and love in their story was incredible.

Good story, not as spicy

It was good since the main character had a situation that was a little different compared to prior books in the series. Not quite as spicy as others.

Having a disability doesn’t make you less

I really liked this story. It was really entertaining and enjoyable. I loved that even though Lila was deaf she wasn’t just a damsel in distress. Rokan was excellent with how he cared for Lila and thought about how he should be with her. His desire to communicate with her and patience with knowing that it would take time given the circumstances was sweet. This is one of my favorite books. I have read and listened to it many times and I look forward to doing so again in the future. I recommend listening or reading this book.

Lila found so much strength

I loved how Lila evolved in this one. She went from so timid to confident and strong. Her hearing may have been a hurdle but she found a way to get around the communication struggles and help others to be able to communicate with her. Rokan was amazing. So loyal and patient. He never made Lila feel less than perfect. Of course I loved the narration as well. These narrators are perfect for the characters.

Maybe….

I may be at the end of my listening for this series. But then maybe I’m not. I can’t decide. This had great potential but some parts of it could have been teased out more. Like the Metloch (of however that is spelled), what happens with it? I’m guessing the series will delve deeper into those creatures. The blue guys might be getting old. Maybe….. okay, one more.
