A similar principle was seen on a popular t-shirt of the 1980s that said, “I’m not useless—I can be used as a bad example.”

The paths we follow through life aren’t always straight. The struggles we face are not always obvious to the people around us. The journey is messy, painful, and we do not escape it alive.

In this final installment in The Way of Dan Series, Dan’s journey home isn’t the only challenge he’s facing. Besides the ever-present danger of traveling across post-apocalyptic America, there are the personal demons that have pursued Dan across the country and across the years.

A part of Dan feels too old and stubborn to change. Another part of him is beginning to understand that change is constant, and the journey only ends if we give up. That is the Way of Dan.

I've enjoyed every installment in the series. This book was no exception.
It further built on the characters of the previous books in the series and added a few new ones.

Present day pioneers with focus

Franklin and Kevin never fail to entertain with believable action scenarios and survivable outcomes in uncomfortable post-EMP situations. Well done.

Amazing finale to a great series!

Such a good story line and the subtle jabs towards the other series that franklin horton has wrote was a great touch! Definitely one of my favorite stories by my favorite author!
