A Curse of Shadows and Ice

By: Catharina Maura

Narrated by: Alex Knox, Mollie Stark

From BookTok sensation and USA Today bestselling author Catharina Maura comes a spicy and enchanting Beauty and the Beast retelling featuring a cursed emperor, a princess who possesses forbidden magic, and a marriage that could save them all.

Princess Arabella of Althea is left no choice when Felix Osiris, the Shadow Emperor, threatens to overthrow her country unless she agrees to marry him. When she learns his empire is cursed and she’s destined to set them free, they come to an agreement: help him minimize the curse’s effect on his people, and he’ll let her go.

As Felix teaches Arabella how to control her forbidden and volatile magic, her feelings for him turn from hatred to passion … and she realizes that she must break the curse, or she’ll lose him forever.

Ethereal.

Loved the book. I hung onto every word and enjoyed the journey. Love me some Felix.

True retelling of a more descriptive Beauty and Beast style writing

Amazing retelling of a story everyone loves and knows with a twist. The different rendition of a beauty and beast story allows for the imagination to take in everything we wanted from the story line.

Another hit!

I loved the connection to the Windsors, and although I don’t usually read fantasy, I thought this was a refreshing take on a tale as old as time ;)

Amazing!!!

This is one of the best retellings I’ve read and think the narrators did an amazing job telling this story. I highly recommend.

the curse and its conditions

the performance was top notch! the story was so compelling! I am a little upset with how Pithia's character arch, but a small note to say the least. 10/10 recommend.
