Age of the Behemoths:

A Primal LitRPG Adventure (LitRPG Fantasy Series Book 1)

By: A. F. Gaine

Narrated by: Wayne Mitchell

Bond a dragon. Slay behemoths. Level up or die in a brutal monster-hunting world where every skill-tree decision has teeth.

Rohgar has one way off the bottom of the food chain: bond with a hatchling sky-dragon and carve a path through behemoth-infested wilds.

In the primal LitRPG world of Aluria, hunters live and die by cultivation stats, evolving weapon styles, and the ruthless logic of the System. Rohgar’s dragon link grants unheard-of synergy skills—fire-laced claw combos, shared XP, and airborne traversal—but it also paints a target on his back. When a necromancer unleashes undead leviathans to harvest the planet’s core essence, Rohgar must speed-run from weak-to-legendary before the kill-clock hits zero.

Inside you’ll get

• Dragon-bond progression—think The Primal Hunter meets How to Train Your Dragon

• Boss-scale behemoth battles and crafting-tree min-maxing

• A relentless weak-to-strong climb, zero harem, all action

• Perfect for fans of We Hunt Monsters, World According to Dragons, and He Who Fights with Monsters

engaging story

This book is an exhilarating fantasy story that had me hooked from the first page. The bond between Rohgar and his dragon companion is beautifully crafted, adding depth to the already thrilling monster-hunting action. While the plot follows familiar tropes, the author's unique blend of magic systems and world building keeps things fresh and engaging. If you're a fan of dragon-bonding stories or the fantasy adventures, this book is definitely worth your time.

A little too lost in fancy descriptions sometimes

This was an interesting story. I'm hoping it'll become like the next Ripple System! First books in a series by new authors usually are pretty rough but you kept me interested, especially towards the last 3 hours. So I'm hopeful for the next one

A new approach

This story focuses on a VRMMO that functions in a similar manner to Monster Hunter. The author has a vivid imagination and the world teems with wondrous creatures. The narrator tells the story with great energy and clearly conveys the difference between background description, game text and character’s voices.

Eventual headache

Some of the character voices were great but the announcer style skills were grating to the experience.

Amazing Read!

Really enjoyed the immersive details that went into the world building and all the characters. A great story with epic battles - was not disappointed! Excellent narration.
