Great Book

It's a great book, but be warned it starts off with a lot of setup for the ultimate story. Stick with it and you will be rewarded! Enjoy!

Not what I expected

Over all the book was amazing. The author did do some tropes that I do not like, but it was so well written I was Enthralled to listen to it in one day. I'm not going to get into detail there is very little story progression in my mind, but character developments with the Valor and sigh characters was phenomenal. In the 10 so hours you listen to this book you gain sympathy and understanding of Valor I applaud M.H. Johnson For great storytelling. And for the narrator's they brought the story alive over all 5 out of 5.

Loved the book. Love the performances.

The story takes a bit to get going as the author spends time establishing the main character's backstory. More comparable to a symphony than a pop song, this story builds over time.

The author has created an incredibly interesting universe and the style of writing delves deeply into the mind of the MC in order to explain not only what is happening but also how and why... a thing that many stories skip over entirely.

The narrator does a great job with the male voices and a second narrator handles the females also extremely well. Their readings are not only clearly understood, but also carry the emotions of the speakers wonderfully. I cannot recommend this audiobook more and am very much looking forward to the next audio entry in the series.

Good .... but

It’s a good story but not a full lit rpg extremely slow........ ie half way through the book is when the real story begins and even after that it’s slow

Beyond descriptive not in a good way

Literally takes 20 minutes to explain setting up explosives vs he set up the explosives.... no story here at all the whole book took hours to explain something that would take other authors that are better 10 flipping minutes.

Amazing

I did not come in to this book with high expectations.. I o the author a massive apology for doubting this art! the book is amazing the main character has good depth, the story will suck you in. that’s not to mention the amazing narration. This is a true masterpiece of the genre! Well worth the listen. If your reading this and deciding weather to bye or not. Do yourself a favor and get the book you will not regret it.

starts good and gets better

a well-written almost poetic book that starts at pretty dark but slowly builds into a gripping story and also contains some fantastic narration probably the best I've heard in quite a while

Great story and great narration

A lot more emotional than your typical LitRPG or gamelit, mostly because of what the main character goes through. A lot of depth to the story. The narration is great, too. Highly recommended.

very well written but may defeat the purpose of an Lit rpg audio book because they usually upbeat new skills levels no here.
