Autosave: Couldn't do it

The autosave announcements at the end of the chapters broke it for me. I could handle the lackluster names, the unrelatable bravado, the broken ability that let's a level 1 human solo a level 10 werewolf. But the [AUTOSAVE] at the end of each chapter broke me. I was listening to this during my long drives and my dredge of a workday, but having to hear someone scream AUTOSAVE at me every 10 minutes got to me. I can't finish.
And every girl sounds the same. That's the only reason narration didn't get a 5 star.

T his was fun!

This was an unusual experience, but I loved it. Danny has an unusual and potentially dangerous ability, making him the object of much gossip and fear from both the faculty and students alike. However, his dad has drilled into him from a young age the importance of serving in their mage group, for the good of the kingdom. This makes him push through, in the best, innocent way possible. It earns him Allies and enemies. Quite enjoyed this book and recommend.

Please note, I’ll be returning and listening with my kids this summer once we finish our current book together as they are going to love it too!

Off-brand Harry Potter

First off, Tess is super annoying.

This is a prejudice focused Harry Potter where they play "mageball" and everybody suspects him of being a big bad evil guy despite the fact that he gained the skill in front of the test examiners....

Hated the main character, lvls don't mean anything and not one fight made any sense

simple, slow, and so entertaining

Don't get me wrong. My Title is accurate, but do not let it sway you away from this book. It is quite good and extremely entertaining. the slow and simple pace of the characters growth is a nice change since this allows the other characters around the protagonist to stand out and shine. This allows for the character to grow with meaning. I am sure that pace will change now that he is in the know with some of the other characters. I am about to start the second book and I'm looking forward to the new changes to come.
