Shane Moran hates me. I need his help. What happens next is unthinkable.

Somewhere in the night, there's a predator called Casanova. He's transformed a beautiful college campus into his hunting ground. The lavender rose I find marks me as his next victim... unless I'm willing to turn to the most powerful person I know. Shane is devastatingly gorgeous. And secretly dangerous. Our poisonous past has him bent on revenge, so if I want his protection, I'll have to agree to his dark demands.

Surprised how much I enjoyed it. I hope the back story continues through out the trilogy. I felt The smut was evenly distributed, within the story. our morally grey mmc is a great contrast to the meek virginal but determined fmc. LOVEDDD THE BOSTON ACCENT!

Very much enjoyed !

A raging thriller, with the touch of horror and a dash of romance!
I must admit, the first half was not flipping my switch however I stuck with it and the story came together.

I guess I'm accustomed to listening to Romance books with characters in their 30s + so I needed to dial it back and try to understand the mindset from someone in their early 20s.

The first half of the book I thought the characters were very immature and I had a very difficult time getting into the book plus, I am not into BDSM.

The second half of the book picked up more speed with the "murderer on the loose" genre, which I loved! As the story evolved, Marlee unveiled the true feelings between our lead characters, Shane and Avery.

One of my favorite dialogue pieces of the book was Avery's mother explaining her past ...it was very endearing and heart wrenching.

I would like to say kudos to our narrators. It can't be easy. I have never narrated a book. First of all, let's start with Ramona. You're not only an amazing narrator, but you did both voices of both characters flawlessly. You have a beautiful voice. Next Michael. Even though I was not as taken by your Boston accent version, you do have an amazing voice. I wish you would've just used your regular voice in this book and not going for the Boston accent, but that's just my opinion. Overall, both narrators were sensational. Brava and Bravo amigos!

I loved the second half of the book and the ending.

Hats off to this team~ looking forward to the second book. ~Namaste thriller fans.

I get it was Boston but man, what a harsh accent. I had trouble getting into the story because of it. But I stuck it out. Story was good, though.

The accent was awful.

How is it Shane has a accident but his father and maternal grandfather do not? And his mom hasn’t been around for many years. He goes to school with all of the other friends and with a bunch of rich people. Soooo… how is it he has a southy like accent.

I just love Shane! I'm obsessed with this book! Avery's mother, on the other hand, is annoying. I understand she has trauma but she's literally forcing everyone around her to live the consequences of her trauma. Instead of raising her daughter to be strong and not take shit from anyone, she succumbs to her paranoia and just wants to wrap her child in a bubble.
