He and his new friends are faced with the dangers of the dead world as they are forced to leave the safest shelter anyone could possibly have in order to do more than simply exist in a zombie infested world.

twist and turns

the story was well written and well read I can't find a way to pick apart the book.

I'm on book 7 now loved them all

I happened upon these books and decided to give it a try and I love them. love the characters especially chief Barnes good story and narrator did an excellent job. definitely would give it a try.

Overall enjoyable easy listen

Well rounded story but has some lose ends that leave you wondering “what was that was about”

Wonderful book, fun story, monotone-ish delivery

First, the story can hold your interest just fine, it's fun and you find yourself loving the experience. However, the narration leaves a little to be desired, and the book only feels about 70% as great as it should. The Narration isn't as poor as a virtual voice, dear lord those audiobooks are so tough to listen to that I feel like I'm punishing myself for something I didn't do; however, the narration isn't too much better. The near-monotone reading would be perfect for an academic book, but for a book that should be an interesting and fun escape for the mind, it falls short. I had to force myself to continue to listen until the end because I did truly enjoy the story, but it almost felt like a chore to have to listen to it. Despite this, I would still strongly recommend you give this a listen. The story does trump the narrator's efforts, and when it was done I was glad I marched on with this.
