Together with a small force of dedicated United States Army soldiers, they undertake a dangerous excursion into the infected city of Columbus, Ohio. Their goal is to eliminate as many of the infected as they can while the city is in the grips of a severe winter, but in the process they hope to locate the President's shelter. If he is alive, they can begin to rebuild the country and bring the infection to an end.

My least favorite so far
I have been giving 5 stars across the board for the first 4 books in the Infected Dead until this book. Book 5 is okay, but too many new characters were introduced and the story was almost all about them, yet there had not been enough time for the author to develop the characters to the point where I really cared about them. So much of the action takes place at the airport in Ohio and I found it frankly to be boring, plus some of the storyline was impossibly improbable. I really missed the South Carolina setting.
This is the last of the books on Audible and there are at least two books following this book 5. I am going to see if I can find the written versions of Books 6 and 7 on Amazon and will speed read them to see what happens to my favorite characters, which were introduced in the first couple of books.
