I like the idea of bunkers.

I really didn't enjoy this definitely. Would tell someone about it about to start the next book

live this series

it's not like any other zombie series out there. lots of twists and turns. plus loveable characters and despicable villains. highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

We Finally Meet The Oil Rig Guy

These are great additions to the series. My only beef is that the author jumps 6 years ahead in the last book, something I hate, but it was easy to get caught up with the survivors stories. But the author also takes us back a few decades to when Titus Rush, Dr. Bus, and the other survivalists originally designed and built the shelters. We finally meet Maybank (possibly wrong spelling) and get the story of his oil rig shelter from his point of view. It's fun "living" vicariously in these awesome structures through the eyes of the survivers. We see what's happened on the rig the events over the last 6 years as well. And we find out that the infected dead aren't done destroying humanity, not by a long shot.

better than I thought

what stands out to me more than other darker and more serious books is that its just reverse plot armor. all I'm doing is waiting for the mc to die in most zombie books.

but now I'm following this story hoping the mc and his crew find a way to take hold of mankind's future again.

my only real complaint is some segments feel drawn out. like the stokes story line. it should not have taken a whole book to deal with him. other than that, I'm on my way to book 7 :)

good story. bad research

ok. this isn't a spoiler but I will use a few vague references. I'm still liking the characters and the story. I also like that characters we like aren't getting killed off for the most part.
what I don't like is the flashbacks or other short sideline stories. imho those should have come way earlier in the saga.
also he could do with a little better editing and some fact checking. front gear on a commercial plane are the last thing to collapse and probably the studies part of the aircraft. aircraft tire don't need traction because they aren't drive wheels. The plane engines propel the plane, even on the ground. Helicopter rotors are easily damaged. they're delicately balanced and even hitting things that wouldn't hurt your bare hand can damage them enough to destroy the aircraft. there are other things the author writes about that he obviously has no real knowledge of and is just writing on what he assumes to be true. if you can ignore them. then it's OK but it kinda made me nuts.
other than that I really enjoyed all the book's.

Loved these books!

They were very descriptive with all of the characters which helped me feel like I was watching a movies rather than a book. And The storyline kept me interested and wanting more

I love these books, but...

These books are awesome and I do enjoy them, but I'm honestly shaking my head more and more of the stupid ways character are being killed off. flies? really? I would think anyone with a brain would notice a large gathering of flies and have a bandana or cloth over their mouth... Again I do really enjoy these books. I just feel like the characters are being killed off in the dumbest ways just so only one character can be a survivor.

liked the first 3 books. 4,5,6 not so much. Story bounces around alot. not terrible but wouldnt recommend

the first four books were great a group of smart people doing there best to survive and pull humanity back from the brink, Then comes book five, start with a big time jump where the group has apparently sat on their hands for all of it. Not scouted any more shelters not help any of the communities that have popped up in their area. Just twiddled their thumbs and let the world go to hell.
