Publisher's summary

Dealing with the death of your best friend, the second parent to your children, and your mother is hard enough, but Gail now also has to deal with the house she had bought for them to all live in. It’s a "fixer upper" and requires a lot of work for the single mom. A new home, new life, and new friends leads to a family she hadn’t anticipated or planned for.

Gail is doing the best she can, trying to deal with everything when Jackie enters her life. They become good friends, but how was Gail to know that she would change her life in ways she had never anticipated.

Another Great Storyline

This has been a wonderful story that made me wonder, smile, be upset with two of the characters, and even cry. I recommend this as a read or listen.

Smiles and tears

This is a wonderfully told story not of romance but of love for friends and of single mothers who dedicate themselves to taking care of the most precious and most priceless thing in the world…their children. It is sad that the way some of the characters are portrayed in this book actually exist in our real world (Jackie’s mother and sister) and it makes me very happy that some of them end up just like they did.

It is a beautiful and uplifting story of a single mother starting over who dedicates herself to providing a stable enviroment for herself and her children. It is also a tragic and sad story of losing a mother and a best friend. If you have a heart this book will have you smiling at times and crying at times and maybe both at the same time.

Cassandra Arnold’s narration was wonderful.
