Uplifting and entertaining.
This is a feel good book with a lot of life lessons. His extraordinary passion for songwriting, his positive outlook and refusal to give up and a good deal of luck made for a happy ending in the midst of great difficulties.

Excellent book!
Permission to Fly was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I added it to my library. It was so enjoyable! Mr. Martine has led an amazing life full of blessings and heartaches. Even when touched by tragedy, he has had such a positive outlook regarding his life and his wonderful marriage of many years. I highly recommend this book!

Beautiful story of love and life
Layng Martine Jr is an incredible storyteller. He brings you right along with him as he tells the tales of growing up as a risk-taking boy. He has always had the drive to go after what he wants, and the infectious energy to convince others to give it to him. The love story between he and his wife Linda is one for the ages. I highly recommend this book!
