Publisher's summary

Warring kingdoms. Ancient blades. Dragonriders and godlings. A growing evil that threatens to destroy the world. Don’t miss the highly anticipated follow-up series to the number one Amazon best-selling saga, The Fatemarked Epic.

Infused with magic, shadows and starlight, the powerful godblades were believed to be lost nearly half a millennia ago, when the Godswar ended. Now, however, one has been found by the unlikeliest of wielders: Sampson Gaard, a blind but ambitious prince with something to prove.

The only question is whether he controls the blade or the blade him. With an insidious evil lurking in the shadows, the answer may very well determine the fate of all Kingfall.

The Kingfall Histories takes place on a different continent in the same world as The Fatemarked Epic. Fans of The Fatemarked Epic, The Stormlight Archives and Legends of the First Empire will fall in love with the world of Kingfall.

Worth it!

Good book, narration was hard to follow since everyone sounded similar but great overall.

Really enjoyed this book!!!

This story had me wishing I didn't have to sleep....didn't have to work.....didn't have to anything!!! It was easy to follow and a great start to the series. I just hope the rest of the series is this detailed.

exceptional

loved this book! some sappy moments but overall well written and performed (as always expected with Reynolds). I bought book two about 3/4 of the way through to have ready to go the second this one ends. I can't wait!

I don't understand the bad reviews

This book was great , Tim knocked it out of the park again too. Not sure why everyone said half way through they didn't like it or it slowed down. Seemed like what I was hoping for!

Simply Epic

One of the greatest fantasy epic's of modern times.
The narrator was absolutely perfect as well!
Not sure if the story would have hit quite the same with someone else narrating this.

All it takes is a spark of interest

I must admit. Initially Kingfall had the appeal of learning to make fire the ole-fashioned way and just as frustrating at times. To be fair: Game of Thrones ruined this genre for me. So I was going into it weighted down by bias’s and the anticipation of disappointment.

24 percent will forever be etched in my memory. Because that’s the point I shelved this tale for a long time. in favor of picking up several something elses. Cause only wanting to know how Samson’s(?), the darkblade’s mystery and charm, and sad butler went could only carry so much weight.

But then I stopped reading and began listening. But then the dragons, their riders, and a adventurous rich girl were brought into the picture. They were the heralds of the story that forced me to sing a very different tune. Oh how I look forward and dread the moment when fates collide.
