Publisher's summary

Be bright but do not burn. Embrace the shadows but do not live in the darkness.

Those are more than just words; they are truth revealed to only the bravest of souls, those who have the power to change the course of history and rewrite a future otherwise etched into Kingfall's flesh itself. But will good finally overcome the storm of evil brewing in the north? Or will the ancient invaders have their pound of flesh? The answers to these questions may surprise both heroes and villains alike.

In the east, Sampson, Grym, and Charlotte seek to unearth the seventh and final godblade. But to do so, they must overcome the wiles of the magical forest of Echoeswood while facing enemies lurking in every shadow.

In the west, dragonriders Peony and Dane must unite what is left of the fractured nations of Kingfall, but a surprise visitor has the potential to destroy what small measure of peace the bondmates have managed to restore to Travail.

In the north, Rose must come to terms with her own undeadness while facing demons no living human has ever faced.

In the south, Ando and his merry band of misfits journey the Loslandian wilderness in search of their purpose, a purpose that destiny always knew would lead them back to Kingfall. But will they arrive in time with their entire crew intact?

And all the while, the enemy draws closer, the creatures known as the Thousands drawn by the scent of human blood and the promise of chaos. If they reach Kingfall's shores, gods save us all.

Perfect for fans of A Game of Thrones, The Stormlight Archives, Legends of the First Empire, and The Fatemarked Epic, Endfall concludes a 5,000+-page epic fantasy adventure for the ages. Start your journey today!

Perfect Ending

Rarely does the ending of an epic fantasy series end with a feeling of completion. This was the perfect ending to a fantastic series.

Great Ending

After about a years delay we finally have gotten the ending of the Kingfall series! This series has been a fun one for me and while some might complain about the seemingly endless side quests and the nonstop quips and banter between the characters I eventually just embraced it.

It took a long time to get there but we finally have the big epic battle between the unified continent and the mostly evil horde. The winding, leisurely pace and the quest for unifications to eventually lead into battle (to face evil) reminds me a lot of The Wheel of Time. I’m a big sucker for sentient swords, magical artifacts and fantasy so these books were right up my ally. I think this last book set a record for something like 12 epilogues. The audio editing seemed a little off because every once in a while the narrators voice seemed a little different like it was added in later but it wasn’t too distracting.

All in all these books are well worth one’s credit and I personally thought it was better the Fatemarked. I’m looking forward to the next books of David Estes.

Epic Saga Conclusion

I cannot stress how much I have enjoyed this book, along with all the previous titles in this series.

They are all so exceptionally written. With great stories, character development, and depth. Not to mention the amazing life that Tim Gerald Reynolds brings to all the characters.

I've laughed, cried, mourned, and rejoiced along with them all.

This book does a fantastic job of bringing closure where it's due, as well as leaving room for expansion of some character arcs

Good story with irksome details

The final bit of character development and story conclusion is very well done. There are a few grammar errors that I feel like may be noticeable to some people. Also, I went through the whole story without excessive interruptions, and I got a vague impression of minor inconsistencies in story details. I don't regret my time with the story, but I don't know that I will repeatedly listen like I do with some of my other favorite series.

Fitting End

Definitely a worthy epic tale to finish the Kingfall series! You could finally see the many threads begin to form the final tapestry which was thoroughly satisfying. I also enjoyed the multi-tiered epilogue which leaves tantalizing clues to further adventures…
