Story
"Just three dates. That's all I'm asking. One boy shares your sense of humor. Another has similar interests and ideals. The third boy has a helpful heart like yours." When Aditi Gupta comes home late from work as a pediatric resident one night and her grandfather offers this pitch, she reluctantly agrees. She's far too busy with med school to be dating, and besides, she dreams of a love for the ages, like her parents, not an arranged marriage. And yet she finds herself agreeing to three dates because she loves her grandfather. All she has to do is make herself utterly ineligible.

Just before he stumbles, Clementine grabs him by his suit jacket. This will not be the last time Clementine Churchill will save her husband. Lady Clementine is the ferocious story of the ambitious woman beside Winston Churchill, the story of a partner who did not flinch through the sweeping darkness of war, and who would not surrender either to expectations or to enemies.

Story
The tide is turning against the colonists in the Revolutionary War, and 18-year-old Elizabeth Morris cannot sit by idly. Quietly disdainful of her Tory parents, who drag her along to society events and welcome a British soldier into their home during their occupation of New York City, Elizabeth decides to take matters into her own hands. She realizes that, as a young woman, no one around her believes that she can comprehend the profound implications of being a nation at war - she is, effectively, invisible. And she can use this invisibility to her advantage.

Most 20-year-olds are wives by now, not studying physics at an elite Zurich university with only male students trying to outdo her clever calculations. Luxury villas on hot white sand, views for miles over turquoise water. Flawless hostess Penny gathers guests to an island for her husband’s birthday celebrations. But she soon regrets inviting self-obsessed Eloise. When a child vanishes on the night of the party, their perfect island weekend is ripped apart. Even paradise harbours murky secrets… Has he been taken? Has he drowned? In the panic to find any trace, Penny casts about for someone to blame—even if that person is her own daughter, Rosie. Even clear waters descend to pitch black.

Read The Rose Code first!
I listened to this once and thought it was just ok. Then I read The Rose Code and this all made far more sense. It cleverly doesn’t give away anything in RC but if you know the story and know essentially who the spy is it all fits together beautifully!!

Such fun following The Rose Code!
I recently completed The Rose Code and read Marie Benedict’s The Mystery of Mrs. Christie earlier this year. This novella was such a fun dance of fresh and slightly older memories to have characters and their vibrant personalities come back to life, and together! I thought this tiptoe towards a full fledge partnership was fabulous fun and I do hope Quinn and Benedict carry on!

Quite Okay
I'm a bit torn on what I feel about this story.
On one hand, I like that it wants to show how women during the time of war, helped each other to help the cause. These type of stories were often placed at the backside of history, and were devalued because of how men treated and perceived women back then.
On the other hand, despite its short length, it could've shown more. I like the conversations, but the depth of their work were shrouded that it ended up into more questions.
Maybe, this short can be treated as a promotion or glimpse of what these authors have previously written.

Interesting little story. I found the beginning a bit awkward but it got better quickly. Agatha Christie has become such a mysterious person over the years and Osla seems the same. Now I must read THE ROSE CODE. Excellent narration.

Better than expected
I'm not an Agatha Christie fan because I like my crime bloody and dirty. But this short "radio play" was well done and believable. It's a spy story, not a whodunit. The British can pull this off. I recommend it as a change of pace from the numerous unrewarding, unsolved true crime podcasts.
