Publisher's summary

Maxence’s brother was trying to kidnap or kill him, and an organized crime thug wanted to cut off Max’s head and feed it to the sharks for entirely different reasons.

So when a cute little blonde stood up on a barstool in the middle of the Buddha Bar in Paris and drew the attention of the wrong sort of guys, Maxence swooped in for the rescue. Everything about her appealed to him: her sweetness, her giggliness, and especially the fact that she was in trouble.

That last part made her sugar and catnip to Max.

Luckily, he only had five days before he left Paris and Europe for wherever his global charity job was going to send him this time. Why not spend it with the funny blonde who insisted he lie to her? Indeed, if she thought everything he said was a lie, he could confess his sins, unburden his soul, and reveal what he thought he never could.

Five days with her sounded like heaven, if he could just convince her to stop throwing him out of her hotel room.

My life has become a sad country-music song, but instead of heading south, I went to Paris. I was a good girl who had nothing left to lose, literally. My boyfriend had stolen everything. Everything except a nonrefundable plane ticket to Paris, which was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime where that deadbeat was going to propose at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

So I got on the plane without him.

After all that, it was understandable that when I started drinking at the Buddha Bar, things got a little out of hand. Luckily, a man intervened. He was so ripped that I could see every thick muscle of his abs, obliques, chest, and arms through the tight T-shirt he was wearing. He towered over the guys who were bothering me, and they backed off. I took him back to my hotel because I was full of drunken, bad decisions that night.

The last thing I needed was a man who wanted to save me when I was trying to do all the wrong things.

Oh, such Princely Yearnings! Yummier than Woo-Hoo!

Confessions, concessions, obsessions and more. To hear these adventures so exquisitely narrated. The inflections alone, were beyond my expectations. Especially certain ahem, minor characters. Great from introduction to conclusion.

The first Maxence book delivers

Maxence has been a mystery in the Billionaires in Disguise universe for so long. A hot, dark, and twisty mystery. This first real look into his story is worth waiting for. Shane East captures him so well and Lucy Rivers gives a real and relatable interpretation of Dree. I'm so intrigued by the structure of the story and upcoming releases in the series and what could possibly come next. My only complaint for this book is that I WANT MORE!

This story is packed full of curious details, steamy encounters and threads to unravel. I can't wait to see how Blair Babylon pulls it all together in the next volume. The wanting she describes is palpable. Highly recommend!

Amazing start

I have been waiting for Max's story since he first appeared in previous books. I love Max's story and can't wait to see where they go next in their storyline.

Forgive me for I have sinned!!

Her ex led her to Paris, where a bottle led her to Max. Dree is a breath of fresh air that stuns Max. He is taken with her almost immediately. Tell me lies tell me sweet little lies... And Max dear sweet, sexy Max does what is asked!!! Forgive me for I have sinned and likely may continue doing so!!! LOL Love it!!! The male narrator does a fantastic job. His voice just brings this story to life. I really enjoy when a story has dual narrators and the female narrator adds to the story.

Complicated equals compelling.

Complicated equals compelling. Babylon refuses to make loving her characters easy. Flaws are the driving force behind the heartache that shines through the drama. From bad boys to good girls and steamy romance, Rogue is a minefield. Max is every bad choice we hope not to make and maybe that's what makes him so alluring. East and Rivers take a walk on the wild side with haunting delivery, sassy dialogue and spicy romance. Look out for some seriously dangerous curves.

Rogue

Excellent start to the series, but didn’t realize there was a cliffhanger. Now that I have started, I need to know what happens next. Characters are fun and as most of us, have a hard time after believing in the right people after being victimized. The female character believed in her boyfriend, but he cleaned out her accounts. Never give another access to your accounts as the heroine did, since she got badly taken advantage. Even people who are married should keep their accounts separate as the husband or wife can clean them out and the banks can’t do anything about it. This had happened to the heroine. Good narrators.

Mysterious Max Gone Rogue

Avid fans of the Blair Babylon universe all know that Max is bound to be unraveled. Finally in Rogue, we get glimpses of that unravelling as we see what it means to "go rogue". And let me tell you, it was worth the wait.

Max and Dree have a light, airy fling which is a great contrast to the deep, dark story underlying both of their lives. And their final night together, and final minutes of the last chapter whet my appetite for much, much more to come.

Once again, Shane East and Lucy Rivers dove into their roles and provided exceptional performances of joy, fear, frustration, anxiety, concern and seduction.

Excellent book - Prince and the nurse

I was hooked line and sinker with this book of Maxence and Andrea Clark ( Bree) and the chemistry is stellar. Love both narrators and continuing to the next book in the series
