Publisher's summary

Widowed and officially retired, Eugeena Patterson throws herself into organizing the neighborhood association. This presents a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and get to know new neighbors, like recently widowed Amos Jones - that is until Eugeena stumbles upon her estranged neighbor’s dead body. Eugeena’s daughter is fingered as a prime suspect, but where is she?

Determined to find her missing daughter, Eugeena and Amos sort through a list of neighbors with shady or unknown backgrounds. The more she searches, the more Eugeena becomes unsure about this neighborhood association idea. Someone closer than Eugeena thinks wants to keep it that way.

So cute

I am beginning to like these "whodunit" stories. I like that it is being told from an older person's point of view. Good story, good narration.

Easy listening

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. A light, funny mystery is what a soul needs at times. Wish there were different people reading some of the characters for a difference but enjoyed the narrator

Good & Suspenseful

Loved listening to it and enjoyed the Black culture sprinkled throughout. I also appreciated the brevity of this mystery novel.

Interesting Characters

This book grabbed my interest on the first page. It went on to develop a delightful main character, some intriguing side characters, and a very good mystery. Don’t be surprised if you fall in like with Eugeena and her friends.

Easy Listening

This is a very enjoyable book. I added it to my list of favorites. The storyline captured & held my attention; I was eager to find out what happened next. The main character is spunky, funny and much of her story is relatable. The narrator tells this story exceedingly well giving the listener a front porch view of this neighborhood.
