Publisher's summary

We survived the land of the Witch’s Reign - that much is true. But our arrival home is far from welcome.

My idiot brother has taken it upon himself to ride off in search of a mythical healer, someone who might help him walk again. Assuming she doesn’t eat him first. Because she’s a dragon and happens to reside in the deepest reaches of the Dragon’s Ground. Like I said, idiot.

I’d go after him myself, but his leaving is not the only problem I face. My mentor has forbidden me to leave the safety of the Stockyards. Her reasoning?

That I am too weak to weather the coming storms.

With my pride wounded in more ways than one, I must gather the few allies’ I have left. My ex-husband's new girlfriend at the top of the list and a goat bleating Satyr.

FML.

If I’m lucky I’ll find a small dragon and a Jinn whose blue eyes still haunt my dreams along the way.

Buckle up, buttercup, this ride is about to take a seriously unforeseen twist.

Phenomenal!

I am blown away! I love how this book kept me on my toes from the very beginning. Zam goes through so many things, and learns so much about herself. I love how these characters are developing, I can’t wait to read/ listen to the next book! Lauren Fortgang’s performance is fantastic!

Home run once again!

Dragon’s Ground is a must listen for fantasy lovers! Action, suspense, battles, death, and friendship abound in this story! The story had me yelling at the characters, laughing at their dialogues, and crying when they weeped. I didn’t want to stop listening! The characters are believable and likable and the storyline has plenty of action, suspense, drama, and a little heat. I am so looking forward to book 3. Dragon’s Ground can be enjoyed as a standalone but you should really enjoy book 1 first in order to keep up on the events and characters! The narrator did a freakin’ awesome job with providing unique voices for each character, the right tone for the scenes, and speed of reading!

Wondrous story! I look forward to plunging heartfirst into the thrilling layers every night. It's with effort to come up for real world air again.
But, good to know that I will be back. Thanks again! Kaye

Zam kicks butt and takes names.

In this second book in the series Dragon's Ground brings us back into the world of Zamira the shifter, Maks the Jinn (I admit I have a bit of a book crush on Maks), and let's not forget Lila too. She's a very scrappy little dragon who is coming into her own. I love Zam, she is a fantastic heroine and continues to show she can overcome the crap thrown at her. Zamira must decide if she's going to go rescue her brother from the Dragons or stay behind like her mentor Ish wants. Meanwhile her ex Steve has gone off toward the Dragons to search for the next jewel Ish needs. To no ones surprise, Zam is going to embark on a mission that will bring her face to face with old friends and enemies. This book is about as predictable as a sand storm, but a whole lot more fun! I laughed, screamed and even cried listening to this book.

Another amazing story from the mind of Shannon Mayer. Thoroughly enjoyed the pace of the book. Snarky wit , love , pain , violence and growth- A+ (again)

The story just keeps getting better!

Book 2 of Shannon Mayer's Desert Cursed series, Dragon's Ground, is even better than the first. We learn more about Zamira's family and background, which helps in understanding some of her actions and reactions. The characters are likable and have layers that are slowly being revealed to us. Shannon Mayer is a wonderful writer. Her descriptions are on point and it is fun and fascinating seeing how the characters grow and develop. The audio is fast paced and fun. Narrator, Lauren Fortgang, does a nice job making the listener stay involved and in touch with the story. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series!

Too much

At the beginning you are getting mad and then around the end you are crying. Just to much for me but I love it. Awesome job to the narrator. She done really good. And Shannon Mayer she writes really awesome.
