Great story

I love colony building along with space opera and interesting characters then throw in intense action and combat and you have a great book. The narrator was perfect for this series. I can't stop reading this series. Highly recommended.

The Enemy is here

And humanity's survivors don't really know what to expect. There was only a cryptic message saying that Earth was lost and that the enemy may be on its way. Storyline is pretty good, I wish the author would go into more depth on certain aspects of the story line, but I think that will open up more in the future. Overall a good science fiction story with some typical plot lines, but still entertaining.

Entertaining

Great story and performance. I look forward to the next in series. Characters are well developed and the performer brings them to life.

more war

I don't really like books about space war. I like the things around the war parts, people, relationships, challenges, tech, a different environment, but not the maneuvering and shooting. the first book was all prep for war so I liked that a lot. this book is much more about the war itself so I didn't like as much of it. I like the characters though, and the bigger context and want to find out what happened to earth, so I will listen to the 3rd book.
