He's a player in more ways than one....

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hookups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he'll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he's worth a second chance. Now he's going to need to up his game....

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She's not a charity case, and she's not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He'll have to work for it. This time around, she'll be the one in the driver's seat, and she plans on driving him wild.

The boom is actually really good but I’m going to have to read the rest instead of listening if it’s the same female narrator. She’s so flat and sounds like she doesn’t even want to read. It’s annoying listening to her.

Good book horrible female narrator

Let me start by saying, I love Elle Kennedy books. This is not the first I've read, but it is the first on Audio. Lee Samuels did great, but as soon as Lorelei Avalon spoke, it sounded like a 60-something year old woman, which made it SO AWKWARD during any s3x scene because she is supposed to be in college and it was just creepy having this 60-something year old voice (I have no idea how old the narrator really is) describing an intimate scene with another COLLEGE student lol. Super cringe and it was SUPER hard to listen every time it was her turn. She elongates random vowel sounds and, again, some things she says, all I picture is an older woman saying them... Other than that, the male narrator, the story itself.. everything else was fantastic. PLEASE CONSIDER redoing the narration with someone else!!!!!

Lorelei Avalon was the WRONG choice

Cringeworthy performance round 2. Just not a believable voice for the writing of the female character. How I imagine might grandma might sound reading my college memoirs.

Female narrator is just not it..

The girl narrator improved from the first book but, was still pretty terrible. Sounds too much like AI or droning on. Luckily the guy narrators seem to save these stories for me. Glad she’s not the same for The Score.

Story wise, I don’t understand why Elle needs to make all these hockey players welllll experienced. And he’s with someone who has never had that.. idk. But I like Logan of the show. His book was cute in parts; more corny and cringe than the first but still enjoyable

Stuck it out one more book with this girl narrator

I almost turned off the audio. She did not sound like a teenager and her male voice was terrible.
Hard to listen to!

Female narrator was the worst
