Good start of an interesting series.

A brand new nuclear powered submarine surfaces after being submerged for a month during its shake-out trials. The crew is expecting to breathe clean, fresh air after their month-long radio-silence break from society. What they got was a dense fog-like ash everywhere clogging filters, machinery and electronics. Even more confusing was that there were no communications of any sort; no radio, television, satellite, only static or dead silence. As they examined the coast cities and installations there was no evidence of power, no lights, no automobiles, and the final shock; no people. What had happened? Where was everyone? The Captain of the submarine looks for a safe port while he decides what to do. After a week without any contact and running out of food the Captain resolves to release what crew wants to go to look for family. The Exec Officer Commander Jack Cisco feels he must try to reach his wife and two daughters in Texas 1,000 miles away. This is the story of Cisco’s harrowing journey home. Three.point.five for a good start.

bad narration

the story line us ok, but the narrator reads like a 60s infomercial. every sentence is read like it's on the edge of your seat action. even ordinary mundane actions are read like they're heart pounding suspense.

A Home-run Post Apocalypse Story

What made the experience of listening to Apocalypse Trails Omnibus: Episodes 1-3 the most enjoyable?

The synergy of reading performance and story, but most importantly the story gave me what I wanted in a post apocalyptic tail, details, day to day life.

Fantastic!!

One of my favorite post apocalyptic books to date! I loved the twist since so many of these books are about an EMP.
I can't wait for the next one!!

Excellent

Wow. I had no idea things would shift to a Yellowstone apocalypse in the early chapters. Terrifying and interesting at the same time. How hard would a super volcanic eruption hit us? What would the chain of events be like? And how quickly would humanity be knocked nearly out?

I’ll be looking for the next book(s) in the series!
