Publisher's summary

Callie Penrose must die....

Callie Penrose - a wizard with a splash of Angel’s blood flowing through her veins - kind of broke the Vatican and their band of holy-warrior wizard-priests, the Shepherds. Officially, the report stated Callie forgot to turn the other cheek, and things escalated....

She returns home to Kansas City to find new gangs of supernaturals roving the streets, preying on the innocent while the local factions do nothing. Although not unified, everyone seems to agree on one point....

Callie Penrose must die.

And she’s still hearing those strange Whispers in her mind - much more frequently than before, and not nearly as...forgiving.

But when an epic betrayal blindsides her and she discovers the truth of her birth - why Heaven and Hell have been so interested in her - Callie’s world begins to crumble, and she must decide whether she wants to be a good girl....

Or if it’s time to be a little naughty.

No matter how hard you try, you can’t make an Angel cry....

They just roar.

If you like Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Linsey Hall, K. F. Breene or Shannon Mayer, you will love the fourth installment of the Feathers and Fire series.

laugh out loud then cry

loved Poole narrating Callie's story. once again hold on to your panties for a rollercoaster ride or laughs and tears. I can't get enough of Shayne Silvers books. He always punches you in the feels and leave you begging for more. if you haven't yet all of his books are a must read/listen too.

Just can’t get enough!

It must be the midnight hour, because I want more...more...more. With due respect to Billy Idol, the sentiment rings true. I am duly impressed with this latest installment and can’t wait for Legend to hit the stands. Well done.

bad narrator

The narrator sounded like a robot. I get better inflection and tone from my Amazon echo

Bad narrator

Callie is supposed to be early twenties, why in the world would you get an older woman to do her voice? Her voice doesn't match with the words. It's like my mother trying to talk like a teenager....

ok...

I much rather prefer the other narrator to this lady. she seems to capture the character of Cali in a better light.

Title should be Angels In a Whirlwind

I have always admired the ability to tell a great story. This is a great story in a great series. Each book takes me on a fascinating trip while on the way to an unknown destination. In this particular story a very few of the characters were, King Midas, Dorian Grey, Cain, wizards, shapeshifting polar bears, The Templars, vampires and of course The Tiny Balls played a big part.
I do not enjoy spoilers before reading a book so I try not to leave them. However the Hellfire Club scene and the dinner with Terry and Cain are not to be missed.
Nicole Poole did a good job. It took me awhile to adapt to her voice as a 20 something year old girl. I really had a difficult time, her voice did not sound young enough. After saying that Nicole does such a beautiful job with all of the other characters that I finally let it go. Her voice is easy to listen too and each character is distinctive which makes a great audio version. I found the the dream sequence poetic. I just wish these stories were longer! I am greedy.

Great story, needs another narrator.

The story and author are amazing. The narrator sounds too old to be Callie Penrose. Bring back the previous narrator!

No spoilers

First off don't start here go to book one. Promise you won't be sorry. Each book is very well written. Characters and world are very well written also. Highly recommend. Treat yourself to the audio because Ms Poole will always give you her best. ALL the voices were very well done and told with emotion. Big plus for me. Highly recommend both Silvers and Poole. Such a great pairing.
